Isaiah 5:4-13
41WhatH4100 moreH5750 was there to doH6213 for My vineyardH3754 2that I have not doneH6213 in it? WhyH4069, when I expectedH6960 it to produceH6213 good grapesH6025 did it produceH6213 3worthlessH891 onesH891?5So nowH6258 let Me tellH3045 you whatH834 I am going to doH6213 to My vineyardH3754: I will 4removeH5493 its hedgeH4905 and it will be consumedH1197; I will 5breakH6555 downH6555 its wallH1447 and it will becomeH1961 6trampledH4823 groundH4823.6I will 7layH7896 it wasteH1326; It will not be prunedH2168 or hoedH5737, But briarsH8068 and thornsH7898 will comeH5927 up. I will also chargeH6680 the cloudsH5645 to 8rainH4305 noH4480 rainH4306 on it.”
7For the 9vineyardH3754 of the LordH3068 of hostsH6635 is the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 And the menH376 of JudahH3063 His delightfulH8191 plantH5194. Thus He lookedH6960 for justiceH4941, but beholdH2009, 10bloodshedH4939; For righteousnessH6666, but beholdH2009, a cryH6818 of distressH6818.
8WoeH1945 to those who 11addH5060 houseH1004 to houseH1004 and joinH7126 fieldH7704 to fieldH7704, UntilH5704 there is noH657 moreH657 roomH4725, So that you have to liveH3427 aloneH905 in the midstH7130 of the landH776!9In my earsH241 the LordH3068 of hostsH6635 has sworn, “SurelyH518H3808, 12manyH7227 housesH1004 shall becomeH1961 13desolateH8047, Even greatH1419 and fineH2896 onesH2896, withoutH369 occupantsH3427.10For 14tenH6235 acresH6776 of vineyardH3754 will yieldH6213 only oneH259 15bathH1324 of wine, And a 16homerH2563 of seedH2233 will yieldH6213 but an 17ephahH374 of grain.”11WoeH1945 to those who riseH7925 earlyH7925 in the morningH1242 that they may pursueH7291 18strongH7941 drinkH7941, Who stayH309 up lateH309 in the eveningH5399 that wineH3196 may inflameH1814 them!12Their banquetsH4960 are accompanied by lyreH3658 and 19harpH5035, by tambourineH8596 and fluteH2485, and by wineH3196; But they 20do not payH5027 attentionH5027 to the deedsH6467 of the LordH3068, NorH3808 do they considerH7200 the workH4639 of His handsH3027.
13ThereforeH3651 My peopleH5971 goH1540 into exileH1540 for their 21lackH1097 of knowledgeH1847; And 22their 23honorableH3519 menH4962 are famishedH7458, And their multitudeH1995 is parchedH6704 with thirstH6772.
