Isaiah 41:1-9
1“1CoastlandsH339, listen to Me 2in silenceH2790, And let the peoplesH3816 3gainH2498 newH2498 strengthH3581; 4Let them comeH5066 forwardH5066, thenH227 let them speakH1696; 5Let us comeH7126 togetherH3164 for judgmentH4941.26WhoH4310 has arousedH5782 one from the eastH4217 Whom He 7callsH7121 in righteousnessH6664 to His 8feetH7272? He 9deliversH5414 up nationsH1471 beforeH6440 him And subduesH7287 kingsH4428. He makesH5414 them like 10dustH6083 with his swordH2719, As the wind-driven 11chaffH7179 with his bowH7198.3He pursuesH7291 them, passingH5674 on in safetyH7965, By a wayH734 he had not been 12traversingH935 with his feetH7272.413WhoH4310 has performedH6466 and accomplishedH6213 it, CallingH7121 forth the generationsH1755 from the beginningH7218? ‘14I, the LordH3068, am the firstH7223, and with the lastH314. 15I am He.’”
5The 16coastlandsH339 have seenH7200 and are afraidH3372; The 17endsH7098 of the earthH776 trembleH2729; They have drawnH7126 nearH7126 and have comeH857.6EachH376 oneH376 helpsH5826 his neighborH7453 And saysH559 to his brotherH251, “Be strongH2388!”7So the 18craftsmanH2796 encouragesH2388 the 19smelterH6884, And he who smoothsH2505 metal with the hammerH6360 encourages him who beatsH1986 the anvilH6471, SayingH559 of the solderingH1694, “It is goodH2896”; And he fastensH2388 it with nailsH4548, 20So that it will not totterH4131.8“But you, IsraelH3478, 21My servantH5650, JacobH3290 whomH834 I have chosenH977, DescendantH2233 of 22AbrahamH85 My 23friendH157,9You whomH834 I have 2425takenH2388 from the endsH7098 of the earthH776, And calledH7121 from its 26remotestH678 partsH678 And saidH559 to you, ‘You are 27My servantH5650, I have 28chosenH977 you and not rejectedH3988 you.
