It was addedG4369 2becauseG5484 of transgressionsG3847, having been 3ordainedG1299 throughG1223 angelsG32 4by the 5agencyG5495 of a mediatorG3316, untilG891 6the seedG4690 would comeG2064 to whomG3739 the promiseG1861 had been madeG1861. 20NowG1161 7a mediatorG3316 is not 8for oneG1520 party only; whereasG1161 GodG2316 is only oneG1520. 21Is the LawG3551 thenG3767 contraryG2596 to the promisesG1860 of GodG2316? 9May it neverG3361 be! For 10ifG1487 a lawG3551 had been givenG1325 which was ableG1410 to impartG2227 lifeG2227, then righteousnessG1343 11would indeedG3689 have beenG1510 12basedG1537 on lawG3551. 22But the ScriptureG1124 has 13shutG4788 up 14everyoneG3956 underG5259 sinG266, soG2443 that the promiseG1860 by faithG4102 in JesusG2424 ChristG5547 might be givenG1325 to thoseG3588 who believeG4100.
