Proverbs 12:1-10
Whoso loveth disciplineH4148 loveth knowledgeH1847, but he that hateth reproof is brutish.
A goodH2896 [manH376] obtaineth favour of Jehovah; but a manH376 of mischievous devices will he condemnH7561.
A manH120 shall not be establishedH3559 by wickednessH7562; but the rootH8328 of the righteousH6662 shall not be moved.
A womanH802 of worth is a crownH5850 to her husbandH1167; but she that maketh ashamedH954 is as rottennessH7538 in his bonesH6106.
The thoughtsH4284 of the righteousH6662 are rightH4941; the counsels of the wickedH7563 are deceitH4820.
The wordsH1697 of the wickedH7563 are a lying-in-wait for bloodH1818; but the mouthH6310 of the uprightH3477 shall deliverH5337 them.
OverthrowH2015 the wickedH7563, and they are no [more]; but the houseH1004 of the righteousH6662 shall standH5975.
A manH376 is commended according to his wisdom; but he that is of a perverted heartH3820 shall beH1961 despised.
Better is he that is lightlyH7034 esteemedH7034, and hath a servantH5650, than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh breadH3899.
A righteousH6662 man is concerned for the lifeH5315 of his beast; but the tender mercies of the wickedH7563 are cruelH394.
