Proverbs 12:1-10 1 Whoso loveth discipline מ֭וּסָר Mu.sor H4148 loveth knowledge דָּ֑עַת Da.'at H1847 , but he that hateth reproof is brutish. 2 A good ט֗וֹב Tov H2896 [ man H376 ] obtaineth favour of Jehovah ; but a man H376 of mischievous devices will he condemn יַרְשִֽׁיעַ׃ yar.Shi.a' H7561 . 3 A man H120 shall not be established יִכּ֣וֹן yi.Kon H3559 by wickedness בְּרֶ֑שַׁע be.Re.sha' H7562 ; but the root וְשֹׁ֥רֶשׁ ve.Sho.resh H8328 of the righteous צַ֝דִּיקִ֗ים tza.di.Kim H6662 shall not be moved . 4 A woman H802 of worth is a crown עֲטֶ֣רֶת 'a.Te.ret H5850 to her husband בַּעְלָ֑הּ ba'.Lah H1167 ; but she that maketh ashamed H954 is as rottenness וּכְרָקָ֖ב u.khe.ra.Kav H7538 in his bones H6106 . 5 The thoughts H4284 of the righteous צַדִּיקִ֣ים tza.di.Kim H6662 are right H4941 ; the counsels of the wicked רְשָׁעִ֣ים re.sha.'Im H7563 are deceit מִרְמָֽה׃ mir.Mah H4820 . 6 The words דִּבְרֵ֣י div.Rei H1697 of the wicked רְשָׁעִ֣ים re.sha.'Im H7563 are a lying-in-wait for blood דָּ֑ם Dam H1818 ; but the mouth וּפִ֥י u.Fi H6310 of the upright יְ֝שָׁרִ֗ים ye.sha.Rim H3477 shall deliver יַצִּילֵֽם׃ ya.tzi.Lem H5337 them . 7 Overthrow הָפ֣וֹךְ ha.Fokh H2015 the wicked רְשָׁעִ֣ים re.sha.'Im H7563 , and they are no [ more ]; but the house H1004 of the righteous צַדִּיקִ֣ים tza.di.Kim H6662 shall stand H5975 . 8 A man H376 is commended according to his wisdom ; but he that is of a perverted heart לֵ֝֗ב Lev H3820 shall be H1961 despised . 9 Better is he that is lightly נִ֭קְלֶה Nik.leh H7034 esteemed H7034 , and hath a servant וְעֶ֣בֶד ve.'E.ved H5650 , than he that honoureth himself , and lacketh bread H3899 . 10 A righteous צַ֭דִּיק Tza.dik H6662 man is concerned for the life נֶ֣פֶשׁ Ne.fesh H5315 of his beast ; but the tender mercies of the wicked רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים re.sha.'Im H7563 are cruel אַכְזָרִֽי׃ 'akh.za.Ri H394 .
