Joshua 5:2-7
At that timeH6256 Jehovah saidH559 to JoshuaH3091, MakeH6213 thee stone-knives, and circumciseH4135 again the children of IsraelH3478 the secondH8145 timeH6256.
And JoshuaH3091 madeH6213 him stone-knives, and circumcisedH4135 the children of IsraelH3478 at the hillH1389 of Araloth.
And this is the cause why JoshuaH3091 circumcisedH4135 [them]: all the peopleH5971 that had comeH3318 out of EgyptH4714, the malesH2145, all the menH376 of warH4421, had diedH4191 in the wildernessH4057 on the wayH1870, after they cameH3318 out of EgyptH4714.
For all the peopleH5971 that came out wereH1961 circumcisedH4135; but all the peopleH5971 that wereH1961 born in the wildernessH4057 on the wayH1870, after they came out of EgyptH4714, [them] had they not circumcisedH4135.
For the children of IsraelH3478 had walkedH1980 fortyH705 yearsH8141 in the wildernessH4057, till the whole nationH1471 of menH376 of warH4421 had perished who had comeH1980 out of EgyptH4714, who had not hearkened to the voiceH6963 of Jehovah; to whom Jehovah had swornH7650 that he would not showH7200 them the landH776 which Jehovah had swornH7650 unto their fathersH1 that he would giveH5414 us, a landH776 flowingH2100 with milkH2461 and honeyH1706.
And their sonsH1121 [whom] he raisedH6965 up in their stead, them JoshuaH3091 circumcisedH4135, for they wereH1961 uncircumcisedH6189, because they had not circumcisedH4135 them on the wayH1870.
