10From the chamberH3957 of GemariahH1587 sonH1121 of ShaphanH8227 the scribeH5608, which was in the upperH5945 courtyardH2691 at the openingH6607 of the NewH2319 GateH8179 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, BaruchH1263 readH7121 from the scrollH5612 the wordsH1697 of JeremiahH3414 in the hearingH241 of allH3605 the peopleH5971.

11When MicaiahH4321 sonH1121 of GemariahH1587, the sonH1121 of ShaphanH8227, heardH8085 allH3605 the wordsH1697 of the LORDH3068 fromH5921 the scrollH5612, 12he went downH3381 toH5921 the scribe’sH5608H2009 chamberH3957 in the king’sH4428 palaceH1004, whereH8033 allH3605 the officialsH8269 were sittingH3427: ElishamaH476 the scribeH5608, DelaiahH1806 sonH1121 of ShemaiahH8098, ElnathanH494 sonH1121 of AchborH5907, GemariahH1587 sonH1121 of ShaphanH8227, ZedekiahH6667 sonH1121 of HananiahH2608, and allH3605 the other officialsH8269. 13And MicaiahH4321 reportedH5046 to them allH3605 the wordsH1697 he had heardH8085 BaruchH1263 readH7121 from the scrollH5612 in the hearingH241 of the peopleH5971.

14Then allH3605 the officialsH8269 sentH7971 word toH413 BaruchH1263 through JehudiH3065 sonH1121 of NethaniahH5418, the sonH1121 of ShelemiahH8018, the sonH1121 of CushiH3570, sayingH559, “BringH3947H3027 the scrollH4039 thatH834 you readH7121 in the hearingH241 of the peopleH5971, and comeH1980 here.”

So BaruchH1263 sonH1121 of NeriahH5374 tookH3947H3027 the scrollH4039 and wentH935 to themH413.

15“PleaseH4994 sit downH3427,” they saidH559, “and readH7121 it in our hearingH241.”

When they had heardH8085 allH3605 these wordsH1697, they turned toH413 oneH376 anotherH7453 in fearH6342 and saidH559 toH413 BaruchH1263, “Surely we must reportH5046 allH3605 theseH428 wordsH1697 to the kingH4428.”

17“TellH5046 us nowH4994,” they askedH7592H559 BaruchH1263, “howH349 did you writeH3789 allH3605 theseH428 wordsH1697? Was it at Jeremiah’s dictationH6310?”

18“It was at his dictationH6310,” BaruchH1263 repliedH559. “He recitedH7121 allH3605 theseH428 wordsH1697 to meH413 and IH589 wroteH3789 them in inkH1773 onH5921 the scrollH5612.”

19Then the officialsH8269 saidH559 toH413 BaruchH1263H1980, “YouH859 and JeremiahH3414 must hide yourselvesH5641 and tellH3045 noH408 oneH376 whereH375 you areH859.”
