21A remnantH7605 will returnH77251—a remnantH7605 of JacobH3290—toH413 the MightyH1368 GodH410.22ThoughH3588H518 your peopleH5971, O IsraelH3478, beH1961 like the sandH2344 of the seaH3220,only a remnantH7605 will returnH7725.2DestructionH3631 has been decreedH2782,overflowingH7857 with righteousnessH6666.23ForH3588 the LordH136 GODH3069 of HostsH6635 will carry outH6213the destructionH3617 decreedH2782 uponH7130 the wholeH3605 landH776.3
24ThereforeH3651 this is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 of HostsH6635 saysH559:
“O My peopleH5971 who dwellH3427 in ZionH6726,do notH408 fearH3372 AssyriaH804,who strikesH5221 you with a rodH7626and liftsH5375 his staffH4294 against youH5921as the EgyptiansH4714 didH1870.25ForH3588 in justH5750 a little whileH4592H4213My furyH2195 against you will subsideH3615,and My angerH639 will turn toH5921 their destructionH8399.”
26And the LORDH3068 of HostsH6635 will brandishH5782 a whipH7752 against themH5921,as when He struckH4347 MidianH4080 at the rockH6697 of OrebH6159.He will raiseH5375H1870 His staffH4294 overH5921 the seaH3220,as He did in EgyptH4714.27On thatH1931 dayH3117 the burdenH5448 will be liftedH5493 fromH5921 your shouldersH7926,and the yokeH5923 fromH5921 your neckH6677.The yokeH5923 will be brokenH2254becauseH6440 your neck will be too largeH8081.4
28Assyria has enteredH935H5921 AiathH5857and passed throughH5674 MigronH4051,storingH6485 their suppliesH3627 at MichmashH4363.29They have crossedH5674 at the fordH4569:“We will spend the nightH4411 at GebaH1387.”RamahH7414 tremblesH2729;GibeahH1390 of SaulH7586 fleesH5127.30Cry aloudH6670H6963, O DaughterH1323 of GallimH1554!ListenH7181, O LaishahH3919!O wretchedH6041 AnathothH6068!31MadmenahH4088 fleesH5074;the peopleH3427 of GebimH1374 take refugeH5756.32YetH5750 todayH3117 they will haltH5975 at NobH5011,shakingH5130 a fistH3027 at the mountH2022 of DaughterH1004 ZionH6726,at the hillH1389 of JerusalemH3389.
33BeholdH2009, the LordH113 GODH3068 of HostsH6635will lop offH5586 the branchesH6288 with terrifying powerH4637.The tallH7311 treesH6967 will be cut downH1438,the lofty onesH1364 will be felledH8213.34He will clearH5362 the forestH3293 thicketsH5442 with an axeH1270,and LebanonH3844 will fallH5307 before the Mighty OneH117.
