Isaiah 1:22-31
22Your silverH3701 has becomeH1961 drossH5509; your fine wineH5435 is dilutedH4107 with waterH4325.23Your rulersH8269 are rebelsH5637, friendsH2270 of thievesH1590. They allH3605 loveH157 bribesH7810 and chasing afterH7291 rewardsH8021. They do notH3808 defendH8199 the fatherlessH3490, and the pleaH7379 of the widowH490 neverH3808 comesH935 before themH413.
24ThereforeH3651 the LordH113 GODH3068 of HostsH6635,the MightyH46 One of IsraelH3478, declaresH5002:
“AhH1945, I will be relievedH5162 of My foesH6862and avenge MyselfH5358 on My enemiesH341.25I will turnH7725 My handH3027 against youH5921;I will thoroughly purgeH6884H1253 your drossH5509;I will removeH5493 allH3605 your impuritiesH913.26I will restoreH7725 your judgesH8199 as at firstH7223,and your counselorsH3289 as at the beginningH8462.After thatH310H3651 you will be calledH7121 the CityH5892 of RighteousnessH6664,the FaithfulH539 CityH7151.”
27ZionH6726 will be redeemedH6299 with justiceH4941,her repentant onesH7725 with righteousnessH6666.28But rebelsH6586 and sinnersH2400 will togetherH3162 be shatteredH7667,and those who forsakeH5800 the LORDH3068 will perishH3615.29SurelyH3588 you will be ashamedH954 of the sacred oaksH352in which you have delightedH2530;you will be embarrassedH2659 by the gardensH1593thatH834 you have chosenH977.
