Isaiah 1:22-31
22Your silverH3701 has becomeH1961 1wasteH5509 matterH5509, Your drinkH5435 dilutedH4107 with waterH4325.23Your 2rulersH8269 are rebelsH5637 And companionsH2270 of thievesH1590; EveryoneH3605 3lovesH157 a bribeH7810 And chasesH7291 after giftsH8021. They 4do not obtainH8199 justiceH8199 for the 5orphanH3490, NorH3808 does the widow’sH490 caseH7379 comeH935 beforeH413 them.
24ThereforeH3651 the LordH136 6GodH3068 of armiesH6635, The 7MightyH46 OneH46 of IsraelH3478, declaresH5002, “AhH1945, I will haveH5162 satisfactionH5162 againstH4480 My adversariesH6862, And 8avengeH5358 Myself on My enemiesH340.25I will also turnH7725 My handH3027 againstH5921 you, And 9smeltH6884 awayH6884 your impuritiesH5509 as with lyeH1253; And I will removeH5493 allH3605 your slagH913.26Then I will restoreH7725 your 10judgesH8199 as at firstH7223, And your counselorsH3289 as at the beginningH8462; AfterH310 that you will be calledH7121 the 11cityH5892 of righteousnessH6664, A faithfulH539 cityH7151.”
27ZionH6726 will be 12redeemedH6299 with justiceH4941 And her 13repentantH7725 ones with righteousnessH6666.28But 14wrongdoersH6586 and sinnersH2400 togetherH3164 will be 15brokenH7667, And those who abandonH5800 the LordH3068 will comeH3615 toH3615 anH3615 endH3615.2916You certainlyH3588 will beH954 ashamedH954 of the 1718oaksH352 whichH834 you have desiredH2530, And you will be embarrassedH2659 by the 19gardensH1593 whichH834 you have chosenH977.30For you will be like an 20oakH424 whose 21leafH5929 withersH5034 awayH5034, Or like a gardenH1593 that hasH369 noH369 waterH4325.31The strongH2634 manH2634 will becomeH1961 like 22flaxH5296 fiberH5296, And his workH6467 a sparkH5213. So they shall bothH8147 23burnH1197 togetherH3164 And thereH369 willH369 beH369 24noH369 oneH369 to extinguishH3518 them.
