Ezekiel 36:16-23

16Again the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 cameH1961 to meH413, sayingH559, 17“SonH1121 of manH120, when the peopleH1004 of IsraelH3478 livedH3427 inH5921 their landH127, they defiledH2930 itH853 by their own waysH1870 and deedsH5949. Their behaviorH1870 before MeH6440 wasH1961 like the uncleannessH2932 of a woman’s impurityH5079. 18So I poured outH8210 My wrathH2534 upon themH5921 because ofH5921 the bloodH1818 they had shedH8210 onH5921 the landH776, and because they had defiledH2930 it with their idolsH1544.

19I dispersedH6327 themH853 among the nationsH1471, and they were scatteredH2219 throughout the landsH776. I judged themH8199 according to their waysH1870 and deedsH5949. 20And whereverH834 they wentH935 among the nationsH1471H8033, they profanedH2490 My holyH6944 nameH8034, because it was saidH559 of them, ‘TheseH428 are the peopleH5971 of the LORDH3068, yet they had to leaveH3318 His landH776.’ 21But I had concernH2550 forH5921 My holyH6944 nameH8034, whichH834 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 had profanedH2490 among the nationsH1471 to whichH834 they had goneH935H8033.

22ThereforeH3651 tellH559 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 that this is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559: It is notH3808 for your sakeH4616 that IH589 will actH6213, O houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, butH3588H518 for My holyH6944 nameH8034, whichH834 you profanedH2490 among the nationsH1471 to whichH834 you wentH935H8033. 23I will show the holinessH6942 of My greatH1419 nameH8034, which has been profanedH2490 among the nationsH1471—the nameH834 you have profanedH2490 among themH8432. Then the nationsH1471 will knowH3045 thatH3588 IH589 am the LORDH3068, declaresH5002 the LordH136 GODH3069, when I show My holinessH6942 in you before their eyesH5869.
