1Then the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872, “Goבֹּ֖אbo'H935toאֶל־'el-H413Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֑הpar.'OhH6547and tell himוְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ve.di.bar.TaH1696thatאֵלָ֗יו'e.LavH413this is whatכֹּֽה־koh-H3541the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of the Hebrewsהָֽעִבְרִ֔יםha.'iv.RimH5680,saysאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559: ‘Let My peopleעַמִּ֖י'a.MiH5971goשַׁלַּ֥חsha.LachH7971אֶת־'et-H853,so that they may worship Meוְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃ve.Ya.'av.Du.niH5647.

2Butכִּ֛יkiH3588ifאִם־'im-H518youאַתָּ֖ה'a.TahH859continueוְעוֹדְךָ֖ve.'od.KhaH5750to restrainמַחֲזִ֥יקma.cha.ZikH2388themand refuseמָאֵ֥ןma.'EnH3986to let them goלְשַׁלֵּ֑חַle.sha.Le.achH7971,

3thenהִנֵּ֨הhi.NehH2009the handיַד־yad-H3027of the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068will bringהוֹיָ֗הho.YahH1961a severeכָּבֵ֥ד מְאֹֽד׃ka.Ved me.'OdH3515 H3966plagueדֶּ֖בֶרDe.verH1698on your livestockבְּמִקְנְךָ֙be.mik.ne.ChaH4735אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶ֔הba.sa.DehH7704—on your horsesבַּסּוּסִ֤יםba.su.SimH5483,donkeysבַּֽחֲמֹרִים֙ba.cha.mo.RimH2543,camelsבַּגְּמַלִּ֔יםba.ge.ma.LimH1581,herdsבַּבָּקָ֖רba.ba.KarH1241,and flocksוּבַצֹּ֑אןu.va.TzonH6629.

4But the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068will make a distinctionוְהִפְלָ֣הve.hif.LahH6395betweenבֵּ֚יןbeinH996the livestockמִקְנֵ֣הmik.NehH4735of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וּבֵ֖יןYis.ra.'El u.VeinH3478 H996and the livestockמִקְנֵ֣הmik.NehH4735of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,so that noוְלֹ֥א דָּבָֽר׃ve.Lo' da.VarH3808 H1697animalbelonging toמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605the Israelitesלִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖לliv.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478will dieיָמ֛וּתya.MutH4191.’”

5The LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068setוַיָּ֥שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760a timeמוֹעֵ֣דmo.'EdH4150,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “Tomorrowמָחָ֗רma.CharH4279the LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068will doיַעֲשֶׂ֧הya.'a.SehH6213thisהַדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּ֖הha.da.Var ha.ZehH2088 H1697in the landבָּאָֽרֶץ׃ba.'A.retzH776.”

6And the next dayמִֽמָּחֳרָ֔תmi.mo.cho.RatH4283the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068אֶת־'et-H853הַדָּבָ֤רha.da.VarH1697didוַיַּ֨עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213just thatהַזֶּה֙ha.ZehH2088.Allכֹּ֖לkolH3605the livestockמִקְנֵ֣הmik.NehH4735of the Egyptiansמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4713diedוַיָּ֕מָתvai.Ya.motH4191,but notלֹא־lo'-H3808oneאֶחָֽד׃'e.ChadH259animalוּמִמִּקְנֵ֥הu.mi.mik.NehH4735belonging to the Israelitesבְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖לve.nei- Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478diedמֵ֥תmetH4191.

7Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547sent officialsוַיִּשְׁלַ֣חvai.yish.LachH7971and found thatוְהִנֵּ֗הve.hi.NehH2009noneלֹא־ אֶחָ֑דlo'- 'e.ChadH3808 H259of the livestockמִמִּקְנֵ֥הmi.mik.NehH4735of the Israelitesיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל עַד־Yis.ra.'El 'ad-H3478 H5704had diedמֵ֛תmetH4191.But Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547heartלֵ֣בlevH3820was hardenedוַיִּכְבַּד֙vai.yikh.BadH3513,and he would notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808let the peopleהָעָֽם׃ פha.'AmH5971goשִׁלַּ֖חshi.LachH7971אֶת־'et-H853.
