2 Chronicles 36:13-17
13And he alsoH1571 rebelledH4775 against kingH4428 NebuchadnezzarH5019, who had madeH553 him swearH7650 by GodH430: but he stiffenedH7185 his neckH6203, and hardenedH7185 his heartH3824 against turningH7725 unto Jehovah, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478. 14Moreover all the chiefsH8269 of the priestsH3548, and the peopleH5971, trespassed very greatlyH7235 after all the abominationsH8441 of the nationsH1471; and they polluted the houseH1004 of Jehovah which he had hallowed in JerusalemH3389. 15And Jehovah, the GodH430 of their fathersH1, sentH7971 to them by his messengersH4397, risingH7925 up earlyH7925 and sendingH7971, because he had compassionH2550 on his peopleH5971, and on his dwelling-place: 16but they mocked the messengersH4397 of GodH430, and despisedH959 his wordsH1697, and scoffed at his prophetsH5030, until the wrathH2534 of Jehovah arose against his peopleH5971, till there was no remedy.
17Therefore he broughtH5927 upon them the kingH4428 of the ChaldeansH3778, who slewH2026 their youngH970 menH970 with the swordH2719 in the houseH1004 of their sanctuaryH4720, and had no compassionH2550 upon youngH970 manH2205 or virginH1330, oldH2205 manH2205 or hoary-headed: he gaveH5414 them all into his handH3027.
