1And JehoshaphatH3092 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead, and strengthenedH2388 himself against IsraelH3478. 2And he placed forces in all the fortifiedH1219 citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and setH5414 garrisonsH5333 in the landH776 of JudahH3063, and in the citiesH5892 of EphraimH669, which AsaH609 his fatherH1 had takenH3920. 3And Jehovah wasH1961 with JehoshaphatH3092, because he walkedH1980 in the firstH7223 waysH1870 of his fatherH1 DavidH1732, and soughtH1875 not unto the Baalim, 4but soughtH1875 to the GodH430 of his fatherH1, and walkedH1980 in his commandmentsH4687, and not after the doings of IsraelH3478. 5Therefore Jehovah establishedH3559 the kingdomH4467 in his handH3027; and all JudahH3063 brought to JehoshaphatH3092 tributeH4503; and he had richesH6239 and honorH3519 in abundanceH7230. 6And his heartH3820 was lifted up in the waysH1870 of Jehovah: and furthermore he took awayH5493 the highH1116 placesH1116 and the Asherim out of JudahH3063.

7Also in the third yearH8141 of his reignH4427 he sentH7971 his princesH8269, even Ben-hail, and ObadiahH5662, and ZechariahH2148, and NethanelH5417, and MicaiahH4322, to teachH3925 in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063; 8and with them the LevitesH3881, even ShemaiahH8098, and NethaniahH5418, and ZebadiahH2069, and AsahelH6214, and ShemiramothH8070, and Jehonathan, and AdonijahH138, and Tobijah, and Tob-adonijah, the LevitesH3881; and with them ElishamaH476 and JehoramH3088, the priestsH3548. 9And they taughtH3925 in JudahH3063, having the bookH5612 of the lawH8451 of Jehovah with them; and they wentH5437 about throughout all the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and taughtH3925 among the peopleH5971.
