1 Samuel 20:14-17
14And thou shalt not only while yetH5750 I live show me the lovingkindness of Jehovah, that I dieH4191 not; 15but also thou shalt not cutH3772 off thy kindness from my houseH1004 for everH5769; no, not when Jehovah hath cutH3772 off the enemiesH341 of DavidH1732 every oneH376 from the faceH6440 of the earthH127. 16So JonathanH3083 madeH3772 a covenant with the houseH1004 of DavidH1732, saying, And Jehovah will requireH1245 it at the handH3027 of David’s enemiesH341.
17And JonathanH3083 caused DavidH1732 to swearH7650 again, for the loveH157 that he had to him; for he lovedH157 him as he lovedH157 his ownH5315 soulH5315.
