Revised Version 1895

Psalms 55:9-16

Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongue: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
Day and night they go about uponH7200 the walls thereof: iniquity also and mischief are in the midst of it.
WickednessH205 is in the midstH7130 thereof: oppression and guile depart not from herH5921 streets.
For it was notH3808 an enemy that reproached meH3808; then I could have borne it: neitherH3808 was it he that hated meH3808 that didH3808 magnify himselfH3808 against meH3808; then I would have hid myself from him:
But it was thou, a man mineH4480 equal, my companion, and my familiar friend.
We tookH3045 sweet counsel together, we walked in the house of God with the throng.
LetH1980 death comeH1980 suddenly upon them, letH1980 them goH1980 downH1980 alive intoH1980 the pit: for wickedness is in their dwelling, in the midst of them.
As for meH5921, I will call uponH5921 God; and the LORD shall save meH5921.
