Revised Version 1895
Psalms 44:1-8
1We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the days of oldH1121.
2Thou didst drive outH6466 the nations with thy hand, and plantedst them in; thou didst afflict the peoples, and didst spread them abroad.
3For they gat not the land in possessionH3423 by their own sword, neither did their own armH3027 save them: but thy right handH3027, and thine armH3027, and the light of thy countenance, becauseH3027 thou hadst a favour unto them.
5Through thee will we push downH6680 our adversaries: through thy name will we tread them under that rise upH4428 againstH3290 us.
