New American Standard Bible 2020

The Lord Rescues People from Many Troubles.

11GiveH3034 thanksH3034 to the LordH3068, for 2He is goodH2896, For His mercyH2617 is everlastingH5769.23The redeemedH1350 of the LordH3068 shall sayH559 so, Those whomH834 He has 4redeemedH1350 from the handH3027 of the enemyH68623And 5gatheredH6908 from the landsH776, From the eastH4217 and from the westH4628, From the northH6828 and from the 6southH3220.

4They 7wanderedH8582 in the wildernessH4057 in a 8desertH3452 regionH3452; They did not findH4672 a wayH1870 to 9an inhabitedH4186 10cityH5892.5They were hungryH7457 11and thirstyH6771; Their 12soulsH5315 feltH5848 weakH5848 within them.6Then they 13criedH6817 outH6817 to the LordH3068 in their troubleH6862; He savedH5337 them from their distressesH4691.7He also had them walkH1869 on a 1415straightH3477 wayH1870, To goH1980 to 1617an inhabitedH4186 cityH5892.818They shall giveH3034 thanksH3034 to the LordH3068 for His mercyH2617, And for His 19wondersH6381 to the sonsH1121 of mankindH120!9For He has 20satisfiedH7646 the 21thirstyH8264 soulH5315, And He has filledH4390 the 22hungryH7457 soulH5315 with whatH2896 isH2896 goodH2896.

10There were those who 23livedH3427 in darknessH2822 and in 24the shadowH6757 ofH6757 deathH6757, 25PrisonersH615 in miseryH6040 and 26chainsH1270,11BecauseH3588 they had 27rebelledH4784 against the wordsH561 of GodH410 And 28rejectedH5006 the 29planH6098 of the MostH5945 HighH5945.12Therefore He humbledH3665 their heartH3820 with laborH5999; They stumbledH3782 and thereH369 wasH369 30noH369 oneH369 to helpH5826.13Then they 31criedH2199 outH2199 to the LordH3068 in their troubleH6862; He savedH3467 them from their distressesH4691.14He 32broughtH3318 them outH3318 of darknessH2822 and 33the shadowH6757 ofH6757 deathH6757 And 34brokeH5423 their bandsH4147 apartH5423.1535They shall giveH3034 thanksH3034 to the LordH3068 for His mercyH2617, And for His 36wondersH6381 to the sonsH1121 of mankindH120!16For He has 37shatteredH7665 gatesH1817 of bronzeH5178 And cutH1438 offH1438 barsH1280 of ironH1270.

17FoolsH191, becauseH4480 of 38their rebelliousH6588 wayH1870, And 39becauseH4480 of their guiltyH5771 deedsH5771, were afflictedH6031.18Their 40soulsH5315 loathedH8581 allH3605 kinds of foodH400, And they 41cameH5060 closeH5060 to the 42gatesH8179 of deathH4194.19Then they criedH2199 outH2199 to the LordH3068 in their troubleH6862; He savedH3467 them from their distressesH4691.20He 43sentH7971 His wordH1697 and 44healedH7495 them, And 45savedH4422 them from their 46destructionH7825.2147They shall giveH3034 thanksH3034 to the LordH3068 for His mercyH2617, And for His 48wondersH6381 to the sonsH1121 of mankindH120!22They shall also offerH2076 49sacrificesH2077 of thanksgivingH8426, And 50tellH5608 of His worksH4639 with joyfulH7440 singingH7440.

23Those who 51goH3381 downH3381 to the seaH3220 in shipsH591, Who doH6213 businessH4399 on greatH7227 watersH4325;24They have seenH7200 the worksH4639 of the LordH3068, And His 52wondersH6381 in the deepH4688.25For He 53spokeH559 and raisedH5975 a 54stormyH5591 windH7307, Which 55liftedH7311 the wavesH1530 56of the sea.26They roseH5927 upH5927 to the heavensH8064, they wentH3381 downH3381 to the depthsH8415; Their soulH5315 57meltedH4127 awayH4127 in their miseryH7463.27They reeledH2287 and 58staggeredH5128 like a drunkenH7910 personH7910, And 59wereH1104 atH1104 their wits’H2451 endH1104.28Then they criedH6817 outH6817 to the LordH3068 in their troubleH6862, And He broughtH3318 them outH3318 of their distressesH4691.29He 60causedH6965 the stormH5591 to be stillH1827, So that the wavesH1530 61of the sea were hushedH2814.30Then they wereH8055 gladH8055 becauseH3588 they were quietH8367, So He guidedH5148 them to their desiredH2656 harborH4231.3162They shall giveH3034 thanksH3034 to the LordH3068 for His mercyH2617, And for His 6364wondersH6381 to the sonsH1121 of mankindH120!32They shall also 65exaltH7311 Him 66in the congregationH6951 of the peopleH5971, And 67praiseH1984 Him at the seatH4186 of the eldersH2205.

33He 68turnsH7760 riversH5104 into a 69wildernessH4057, And springsH4161 of waterH4325 into a thirstyH6774 groundH6774;34And a 70fruitfulH6529 landH776 into a 71saltH4420 wasteH4420, BecauseH4480 of the wickednessH7463 of those who dwellH3427 in it.35He 72turnsH7760 a 73wildernessH4057 into a poolH98 of waterH4325, And a dryH6723 landH776 into springsH4161 of waterH4325;36And He has the hungryH7457 liveH3427 thereH8033, So that they may establishH3559 7475an inhabitedH4186 cityH5892,37And sowH2232 fieldsH7704 and 76plantH5193 vineyardsH3754, And 77gatherH6213 a fruitfulH6529 harvestH8393.38He also blessesH1288 them and they 78multiplyH7235 greatlyH3966, And He 79does not let their cattleH929 decreaseH4591.

39When they 80becomeH4591 fewH4591 and 81lowlyH7817 BecauseH4480 of oppressionH6115, miseryH7463, and sorrowH3015,40He 82poursH8210 contemptH937 upon noblemenH5081 And 83makes them wanderH8582 84in a pathlessH3808H1870 wastelandH8414.41But He 85setsH7682 the needyH34 86securelyH7682 onH7682 highH7682, away from afflictionH6040, And 87makesH7760 his familiesH4940 like a flockH6629.42The 88uprightH3477 seeH7200 it and areH8055 gladH8055; But allH3605 89injusticeH5767 shutsH7092 its mouthH6310.43WhoH4310 is 90wiseH2450? He is to payH8104 attentionH8104 to theseH428 thingsH428, And considerH995 the 91mercyH2617 of the LordH3068.
