Prayer for Protection from the Wicked.

For the music director; for Heb Nehilothflute accompaniment. A Psalm of David.

11ListenH238 to my wordsH561, LordH3068, ConsiderH995 my 2sighingH1901.2ListenH7181 to 3the soundH6963 of my cryH7768 for helpH7773, 4my KingH4428 and my GodH430, For to You I prayH6419.3In the morningH1242, LordH3068, 5You will hearH8085 my voiceH6963; In the 6morningH1242 I will presentH6186 my 7prayer to You and be on the 8watchH6822.

4For You are not a GodH410 9who takesH2655 pleasureH2655 in wickednessH7562; 10NoH3808 evilH7451 can dwellH1481 with You.5The 11boastfulH1984 will not 12standH3320 beforeH5048 Your eyesH5869; You 13hateH8130 allH3605 who doH6466 injusticeH205.6You 14destroyH6 those who speakH1696 liesH3577; The LordH3068 loathesH8581 15the personH376 of bloodshedH1818 and deceitH4820.7But as for me, 16by Your abundantH7230 graciousnessH2617 I will enterH935 Your houseH1004, 17At Your holyH6944 templeH1964 I will 18bowH2331 in 19reverenceH3374 for You.

8LordH3068, 20leadH5148 me 21in Your righteousnessH6666 22becauseH4616 of my enemiesH7796; MakeH3474 Your wayH1870 23straightH3474 beforeH6440 me.9For thereH369 isH369 24nothingH369 25trustworthyH3559 in 26their mouthH6310; Their 27inwardH7130 partH7130 is destructionH1942 itself. Their 28throatH1627 is an openH6605 graveH6913; They 29flatterH2505 with their tongueH3956.10MakeH816 them payH816, GodH430; 30Have them fallH5307 by their own schemesH4156! 31ScatterH5080 them in the multitudeH7230 of their wrongdoingsH6588, For they are 32rebelliousH4784 against You.

11But 33rejoiceH8055, allH3605 who 34takeH2620 refugeH2620 in You, SingH7442 forH7442 joyH7442 foreverH5769! And 35may You 36shelterH5526 them, That those who 37loveH157 Your nameH8034 may rejoiceH5970 in You.12For You 38blessH1288 the righteousH6662 personH6662, LordH3068, You 39surroundH5849 him with favorH7522 as with a shieldH6793.
