Psalms 32
Blessedness of Forgiveness and of Trust in God.
A Psalm of David. A Possibly Contemplative; or Didactic; or Skillful PsalmMaskil.
11How blessedH835 is he whose wrongdoingH6588 is forgivenH5375, Whose sinH2401 is coveredH3680!2How blessedH835 is a personH120 whose guiltH5771 the LordH3068 2does not takeH2803 intoH2803 accountH2803, And in whose spiritH7307 thereH369 isH369 3noH369 deceitH7423!
3WhenH3588 4I keptH2790 silentH2790 about my sin, 5my 6bodyH6106 wastedH1086 awayH1086 Through my 78groaningH7581 allH3605 dayH3117 long.4For dayH3119 and nightH3915 9Your handH3027 wasH3513 heavyH3513 upon me; My 1011vitalityH3955 failedH2015 as with the dryH2725 heatH2725 of summerH7019. SelahH55425I 12acknowledgedH3045 my sinH2403 to You, And I 13did not hideH3680 my guiltH5771; I saidH559, “14I will confessH3034 my wrongdoingsH6588 to the LordH3068”; And You 15forgaveH5375 the guiltH5771 of my sinH2403. SelahH55426ThereforeH5921H2088, let everyoneH3605 who is godlyH2623 prayH6419 to You 1617in a timeH6256 when You may be foundH4672; CertainlyH7534 18in a floodH7858 of greatH7227 watersH4325, they will not reachH5060 him.7You are 19my hidingH5643 placeH5643; You 20keepH5341 me from troubleH6862; You surroundH5437 me with 2122songsH7438 of deliveranceH6405. SelahH5542
8I will 23instructH7919 you and teachH3384 you in the wayH1870 whichH2098 you should goH1980; I will adviseH3289 you 24with My eyeH5869 upon you.9Do not be 25like the horseH5483 or like the muleH6505, which haveH369 noH369 understandingH995, Whose trappingsH5716 include bitH4964 and bridleH7448 to holdH1102 them inH1102 checkH1102, Otherwise they will not comeH7126 nearH7126 to you.10The 26sorrowsH4341 of the wickedH7563 are manyH7227, But 27the one who trustsH982 in the LordH3068, goodnessH2617 will surroundH5437 him.11BeH8055 28gladH8055 in the LordH3068 and rejoiceH1523, you righteousH6662 onesH6662; And shoutH7442 forH7442 joyH7442, allH3605 you who are 29uprightH3477 in heartH3820.
