9But indeedG2532the axeἀξίνηaxinēG513is alreadyἤδηēdēG2235being laidκεῖται·keitaiG2749at the rootῥίζανrhizanG4491of the treesδένδρωνdendrōnG1186;soοὖνounG3767everyπᾶνpanG3956treeδένδρονdendronG1186that does not bearποιοῦνpoiounG4160goodκαλὸνkalonG2570fruitκαρπὸνkarponG2590is cutἐκκόπτεταιekkoptetaiG1581downG1581and thrownβάλλεται.balletaiG906into the fireπῦρpurG4442.”
11And he would answerἀποκριθεὶςapokritheisG611and sayἔλεγενelegenG3004to them, “The one who hasἔχωνechōnG2192twoδύοduoG1417tunicsχιτῶναςchitōnasG5509is toshareμεταδότωmetadotōG3330with the one who hasἔχοντιechontiG2192noneμὴmēG3361;and the one who hasἔχωνechōnG2192foodβρώματαbrōmataG1033is to doποιείτω.¶poieitōG4160likewiseὁμοίωςhomoiōsG3668.”
14And soldiersστρατευόμενοιstrateuomenoiG4754alsoG2532were questioningἐπηρώτωνepērōtōnG1905him, sayingλέγοντες·legontesG3004, “WhatτίtiG5101are we to doποιήσωμενpoiēsōmenG4160,we asG2532wellG2532?”And he saidG3004to them, “Do not extortG1286moneyG1286from anyoneμηδέναmēdenaG3367,norμηδὲmēdeG3366harassσυκοφαντήσητεsukophantēsēteG4811anyone, andbe contentἀρκεῖσθεarkeistheG714with your wagesὀψωνίοιςopsōnioisG3800.”
