1Then the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068cameוַיְהִ֧יvay.HiH1961to Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֖הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414the secondשֵׁנִ֑יתshe.NitH8145timeH8145,while he was stillעוֹדֶ֣נּוּo.De.nuH5750confinedעָצ֔וּר'a.TzurH6113in the courtyardבַּחֲצַ֥רba.cha.TzarH2691of the guardהַמַּטָּרָ֖הha.ma.ta.RahH4307,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

2“ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559, Hewho madeעֹשָׂ֑הּ'o.SahH6213the earth, the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068who formedיוֹצֵ֥רyo.TzerH3335it to createלַהֲכִינָ֖הּla.ha.khi.NahH3559it, Hewhose nameשְׁמֽוֹ׃she.MoH8034is theLordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068:

3‘Callקְרָ֥אke.Ra'H7121to Me and I will answerוְאֶעֱנֶ֑ךָּve.'e.'e.Ne.kaH6030you, and I will tellוְאַגִּ֧ידָהve.'a.Gi.dahH5046yougreatגְּדֹל֥וֹתge.do.LotH1419andmightyH1219thingsH1219,which you do not knowיְדַעְתָּֽם׃ סye.da'.TamH3045.’

4For thisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478saysאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559concerningעַל־'al-H5921thehousesבָּתֵּי֙ba.TeiH1004of thisH2088cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892,and concerningוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921the housesבָּתֵּ֖יba.TeiH1004of the kingsמַלְכֵ֣יmal.KheiH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063which have been tornH5422downהַנְּתֻצִ֕יםha.ne.tu.TzimH5422to make a defenseagainstH413theassaultH5550rampsH5550and the swordהֶחָֽרֶב׃he.Cha.revH2719:

5‘While theyare comingבָּאִ֗יםba.'ImH935tofightלְהִלָּחֵם֙le.hi.la.ChemH3898the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֔יםha.kas.DimH3778and to fillוּלְמַלְאָם֙u.le.mal.'AmH4390their houses with the bodiesפִּגְרֵ֣יpig.ReiH6297of peopleהָאָדָ֔םha.'a.DamH120whomH834I have struckH5221downהִכֵּ֥יתִיhi.Kei.tiH5221in My angerבְאַפִּ֖יve.'a.PiH639and My wrathוּבַחֲמָתִ֑יu.va.cha.ma.TiH2534, and I havehiddenהִסְתַּ֤רְתִּיhis.Tar.tiH5641My faceפָנַי֙fa.NaiH6440from thisH2088cityמֵהָעִ֣ירme.ha.'IrH5892becauseעַ֖ל'alH5921of allכָּל־kol-H3605their wickednessH7463:

6BeholdH2009,I am going to bringמַעֲלֶה־ma.'a.leh-H5927to ithealingאֲרֻכָ֥ה'a.ru.KhahH724and a remedyוּמַרְפֵּ֖אu.mar.Pe'H4832,and I will healוּרְפָאתִ֑יםu.re.fa.TimH7495them; and I will revealוְגִלֵּיתִ֣יve.gi.lei.TiH1540to them anabundanceעֲתֶ֥רֶת'a.Te.retH6283of peaceשָׁל֖וֹםsha.LomH7965and truthוֶאֱמֶֽת׃ve.'e.MetH571.

7And I willrestoreוַהֲשִֽׁבֹתִי֙va.ha.shi.vo.TiH7725the fortunesשְׁב֣וּתshe.VutH7622of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063and the fortunesשְׁב֣וּתshe.VutH7622of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478, and willrebuildוּבְנִתִ֖יםu.ve.ni.TimH1129them as they wereat firstכְּבָרִֽאשֹׁנָֽה׃ke.va.Ri.sho.NahH7223.

8And I willcleanseוְטִ֣הַרְתִּ֔יםve.Ti.har.TimH2891them from allמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605their wrongdoingעֲוֹנָ֖ם'a.vo.NamH5771by whichH834they have sinnedחָֽטְאוּ־cha.te.'u-H2398against Me, and I will forgiveוְסָלַחְתִּ֗יve.sa.lach.TiH5545allלְכָלle.khol-H3605their wrongdoingsעֲוֹנֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙a.vo.no.tei.HemH5771by whichH834they have sinnedחָֽטְאוּ־cha.te.'u-H2398against Me and revoltedפָּ֥שְׁעוּPa.she.'uH6586against Me.

9It will be to Me anameלְשֵׁ֤םle.ShemH8034of joyשָׂשׂוֹן֙sa.sOnH8342,praiseלִתְהִלָּ֣הlit.hi.LahH8416,and gloryוּלְתִפְאֶ֔רֶתu.le.tif.'E.retH8597beforeallלְכֹ֖לle.KholH3605the nationsגּוֹיֵ֣יgo.YeiH1471of the earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,whichH834will hearיִשְׁמְע֜וּyish.me.'UH8085of allכָּל־kol-H3605thegoodH2899that I doעֹשֶׂ֣ה'o.SehH6213for them, and they will befrightenedוּפָחֲד֣וּu.fa.cha.DuH6342and trembleוְרָֽגְז֗וּve.ra.ge.ZuH7264becauseH5921of allכָּל־kol-H3605the goodH2899and allכָּל־kol-H3605the peaceהַשָּׁל֔וֹםha.sha.LomH7965that I makeעֹ֥שֶׂה'O.sehH6213for it.’

10“ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: ‘Yetagainעוֹד֮'OdH5750there will be heardיִשָּׁמַ֣עyi.sha.Ma'H8085in thisהַזֶּה֒ha.ZehH2088placeבַּמָּקוֹם־ba.ma.kom-H4725,of whichאֲשֶׁר֙'a.SherH834you sayאֹֽמְרִ֔ים'o.me.RimH559, “It is awasteחָרֵ֣בcha.RevH2720,withoutמֵאֵ֥יןme.'EinH369manאָדָ֖ם'a.DamH120and withoutוּמֵאֵ֣יןu.me.'EinH369animalבְּהֵמָ֑הbe.he.MahH929,” that is,in the citiesבְּעָרֵ֤יbe.'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063and in the streetsוּבְחֻצ֣וֹתu.ve.chu.TzotH2351of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֔םye.ru.sha.LimH3389that aredesertedהַֽנְשַׁמּ֗וֹתhan.sha.MotH8074,withoutמֵאֵ֥יןme.'EinH369manאָדָ֛ם'a.DamH120and withoutוּמֵאֵ֥יןu.me.'EinH369inhabitantיוֹשֵׁ֖בyo.ShevH3427and withoutוּמֵאֵ֥יןu.me.'EinH369animalבְּהֵמָֽה׃be.he.MahH929,

11the voiceק֣וֹלKolH6963ofjoyשָׂשׂ֞וֹןsa.SonH8342and the voiceוְק֣וֹלve.KolH6963of gladnessשִׂמְחָ֗הsim.ChahH8057,the voiceק֣וֹלKolH6963of the groomחָתָן֮cha.TanH2860and the voiceוְק֣וֹלve.KolH6963of the brideכַּלָּה֒ka.LahH3618,the voiceק֣וֹלKolH6963of those who sayאֹמְרִ֡ים'o.me.RimH559, “Giveהוֹדוּ֩ho.DuH3034thanksH3034to the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֜וֹתtze.va.'otH6635,For the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068is goodט֤וֹבTovH2896,For His mercyחַסְדּ֔וֹchas.DoH2617is everlastingלְעוֹלָ֣םle.'o.LamH5769,”as they bringמְבִאִ֥יםme.vi.'ImH935athanksgivingH8426offeringH8426into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068.For I will restoreאָשִׁ֧יב'a.ShivH7725the fortunesשְׁבוּת־she.vut-H7622of the landהָאָ֛רֶץha.'A.retzH776as they wereat firstכְּבָרִאשֹׁנָ֖הke.va.ri.sho.NahH7223,’saysאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.

12“ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָאוֹת֒tze.va.'OtH6635saysאָמַר֮'a.MarH559: ‘There will againע֞וֹדodH5750be in thisהַזֶּ֗הha.ZehH2088placeבַּמָּק֣וֹםba.ma.KomH4725which is wasteהֶחָרֵ֛בhe.cha.RevH2720,withoutמֵֽאֵין־me.'ein-H4480 H369manאָדָ֥ם'a.DamH120or animalבְּהֵמָ֖הbe.he.MahH929,and in allוּבְכָל־u.ve.Khol-H3605its citiesעָרָ֑יו'a.RavH5892,a pastureנְוֵ֣הne.VehH5116for shepherdsרֹעִ֔יםro.'ImH7462who restמַרְבִּצִ֖יםmar.bi.TzimH7257theirflocksצֹֽאן׃TzonH6629.

13In thecitiesבְּעָרֵ֨יbe.'a.ReiH5892of the hillהָהָ֜רha.HarH2022countryH2022,in the citiesבְּעָרֵ֤יbe.'a.ReiH5892of the lowlandהַשְּׁפֵלָה֙ha.she.fe.LahH8219,in the citiesוּבְעָרֵ֣יu.ve.'a.ReiH5892of the Negevהַנֶּ֔גֶבha.Ne.gevH5045,in the landוּבְאֶ֧רֶץu.ve.'E.retzH776of Benjaminבִּנְיָמִ֛ןbin.ya.MinH1144,in the areasH5439surroundingH5439Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,and in the citiesוּבְעָרֵ֣יu.ve.'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063,the flocksהַצֹּ֛אןha.TzonH6629will againעֹ֣ד'odH5750passתַּעֲבֹ֧רְנָהta.'a.Vo.re.nahH5674underעַל־'al-H5921the handsיְדֵ֥יye.DeiH3027of the one who countsמוֹנֶ֖הmo.NehH4487them,’ saysאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.
