26“The Lordיְהוָ֞הYah.wehH3068has madeנְתָנְךָ֣ne.ta.ne.KhaH5414you priestכֹהֵ֗ןkho.HenH3548insteadH8478ofH8478Jehoiadaיְהוֹיָדָ֣עye.ho.ya.Da'H3077the priestהַכֹּהֵ֔ןha.ko.HenH3548, to be theoverseerפְּקִדִים֙pe.ki.DimH6496of the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068for everyלְכָל־le.kholH3605insaneH7696personH7696whoprophesiesוּמִתְנַבֵּ֑אu.mit.na.Be'H5012, toputוְנָתַתָּ֥הve.na.ta.TahH5414him in the stocksהַמַּהְפֶּ֖כֶתha.mah.Pe.khetH4115and in the ironH6729collarH6729.

27So nowוְעַתָּ֗הve.'a.TahH6258,whyלָ֚מָּהLa.mahH4100have you not rebukedגָעַ֔רְתָּga.'Ar.taH1605Jeremiahבְּיִרְמְיָ֖הוּbe.yir.me.Ya.huH3414ofAnathothהָֽעֲנְּתֹתִ֑יha.'a.ne.to.TiH6069who prophesiesהַמִּתְנַבֵּ֖אha.mit.na.Be'H5012to you,

28seeingכִּ֣י עַל־ כֵּ֞ןki 'al- kenH3588 H5921 H3651that he hassentשָׁלַ֥חsha.LachH7971wordto us in Babylonבָּבֶ֥לba.VelH894,sayingלֵאמֹ֖רle.MorH559, ‘The exile will belongאֲרֻכָּ֣ה'a.ru.KahH752;buildבְּנ֤וּbe.NuH1129housesבָתִּים֙va.TimH1004and liveוְשֵׁ֔בוּve.She.vuH3427in them,and plantוְנִטְע֣וּve.nit.'UH5193gardensגַנּ֔וֹתga.NotH1593and eatוְאִכְל֖וּve.'ikh.LuH398theirproduceפְּרִיהֶֽן׃pe.ri.HenH6529’?”’”

30Then the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068cameוַֽיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961to Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֖הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

31“Sendשְׁלַ֤חshe.LachH7971word toallכָּל־kol-H3605the exilesהַגּוֹלָה֙ha.go.LahH1473,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, ‘ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559concerningאֶל־'el-H413Shemaiahשְׁמַעְיָ֖הshe.ma'.YahH8098the Nehelamiteהַנֶּחֱלָמִ֑יha.ne.che.la.MiH5161: “Becauseיַ֡עַן אֲשֶׁר֩Ya.'an 'a.SherH3282 H834Shemaiahשְׁמַעְיָ֗הshe.ma'.YahH8098hasprophesiedנִבָּ֨אni.Ba'H5012to you, although I did not sendשְׁלַחְתִּ֔יוshe.lach.TivH7971him, and he hasmade you trustוַיַּבְטַ֥חvai.yav.TachH982in a lieשָֽׁקֶר׃Sha.kerH8267,”

32thereforeלָכֵ֞ןla.KhenH3651thisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “BeholdH2009, I am going topunishפֹקֵ֜דfo.KedH6485Shemaiahשְׁמַעְיָ֣הshe.ma'.YahH8098the Nehelamiteהַנֶּחֱלָמִי֮ha.ne.che.la.MiH5161and hisdescendantsזַרְעוֹ֒zar.'OH2233; he willnot haveיִהְיֶ֨הyih.YehH1961anyoneאִ֣ישׁ׀'ishH376livingיוֹשֵׁ֣ב׀yo.ShevH3427amongבְּתוֹךְ־be.tokh-H8432thisהַזֶּ֗הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971,and he will not seeיִרְאֶ֥הyir.'EhH7200the goodבַטּ֛וֹבva.TovH2896that I am going to doעֹשֶֽׂה־'o.seh-H6213for My peopleלְעַמִּ֖יle.'a.MiH5971,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, “becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588he hasspokenדִבֶּ֖רdi.BerH1696falselyסָרָ֥הsa.RahH5627againstH5921the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.”’”
