8Buthe refusedוַיְמָאֵ֓ן׀vay.ma.'EnH3985and saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559to his master’sאֲדֹנָ֔יו'a.do.NavH113wifeאֵ֣שֶׁת'E.shetH802, “Lookהֵ֣ןhenH2005, with me here,my masterאֲדֹנִ֔י'a.do.NiH113does not concernיָדַ֥עya.Da'H3045himself with anythingמַה־mah-H4100in the houseבַּבָּ֑יִתba.Ba.yitH1004, and he hasputנָתַ֥ןna.TanH5414me in chargeבְּיָדִֽי׃be.ya.DiH3027of allוְכֹ֥לve.KholH3605that he ownsיֶשׁ־yesh-H3426.
9ThereH369isH369noH369one greaterגָד֜וֹלga.DolH1419in thisH2088houseבַּבַּ֣יִתba.Ba.yitH1004thanH4480I, and he has withheldחָשַׂ֤ךְcha.SakhH2820nothingוְלֹֽא־ מְא֔וּמָהve.lo'- me.'U.mahH3808H3972from me exceptכִּ֥י אִם־ki 'im-H3588H518you, becauseבַּאֲשֶׁ֣רba.'a.SherH834you are his wifeאִשְׁתּ֑וֹ'ish.ToH802.Howוְאֵ֨יךְve.'EikhH349then could I doאֶֽעֱשֶׂ֜ה'e.'e.SehH6213thisH2088greatהַגְּדֹלָה֙ha.ge.do.LahH1419evilH7463, andsinוְחָטָ֖אתִיve.cha.Ta.tiH2398against Godלֵֽאלֹהִֽים׃Le.lo.HimH430?”
11Now it happenedוַיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961oneהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088dayכְּהַיּ֣וֹםke.hai.YomH3117that he wentוַיָּבֹ֥אvai.ya.Vo'H935into the houseהַבַּ֖יְתָהha.Bay.tahH1004to doלַעֲשׂ֣וֹתla.'a.SotH6213his workמְלַאכְתּ֑וֹme.lakh.ToH4399,and noneוְאֵ֨יןve.'EinH369H376of the peopleH376of the householdהַבַּ֛יִתha.Ba.yitH1004was thereשָׁ֖םshamH8033insideבַּבָּֽיִת׃ba.Ba.yitH1004.
12So she grabbedוַתִּתְפְּשֵׂ֧הוּva.tit.pe.Se.huH8610him by his garmentבְּבִגְד֛וֹbe.vig.DoH899,sayingלֵאמֹ֖רle.MorH559, “Sleepשִׁכְבָ֣הshikh.VahH7901with me!” But he leftוַיַּעֲזֹ֤בvai.ya.'a.ZoH5800his garmentבִּגְדוֹ֙big.DoH899in her handבְּיָדָ֔הּbe.ya.DahH3027and fledוַיָּ֖נָסvai.Ya.nosH5127,and wentוַיֵּצֵ֥אvai.ye.Tze'H3318outsideהַחֽוּצָה׃ha.Chu.tzahH2351.
