9Thenthe EgyptiansH4714chasedוַיִּרְדְּפ֨וּvai.yir.de.FuH7291afterאַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם'a.cha.rei.HemH310them withallכָּל־kol-H3605the horsesסוּס֙susH5483andchariotsרֶ֣כֶבRe.khevH7393of Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547,his horsemenוּפָרָשָׁ֖יוu.fa.ra.ShavH6571and his armyוְחֵיל֑וֹve.chei.LoH2428,and they overtookוַיַּשִּׂ֤יגוּvai.ya.Si.guH5381them campingחֹנִ֣יםcho.NimH2583by the seaהַיָּ֔םhai.YamH3220,besideH5921Pi-hahirothH6367,in frontלִפְנֵ֖יlif.NeiH6440of Baal-zephonH1189.

10As Pharaohוּפַרְעֹ֖הu.far.'OhH6547approachedהִקְרִ֑יבhik.RivH7126,the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֨לYis.ra.'ElH3478lookedוַיִּשְׂאוּ֩ עֵינֵיהֶ֜םvai.yis.'U 'ei.nei.HemH5375 H5869,and beholdוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009,the EgyptiansH4714were comingנֹסֵ֣עַno.Se.a'H5265afterאַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם'a.cha.rei.HemH310them, and they becameH3372veryמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966frightenedH3372;so the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478criedH6817outH6817to the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

11Thenthey saidוַיֹּאמְרוּ֮vai.yo.me.RuH559to Mosesמֹשֶׁה֒mo.ShehH4872, “Is it becauseהַֽמִבְּלִ֤יha.mi.be.LiH4480 H1097thereH369wereH369noH369gravesקְבָרִים֙ke.va.RimH6913in Egyptבְּמִצְרַ֔יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714that you have takenלְקַחְתָּ֖נוּle.kach.Ta.nuH3947us away to dieלָמ֣וּתla.MutH4191in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּ֑רba.mid.BarH4057?Whyמַה־mah-H4100have you dealtעָשִׂ֣יתָ'a.Si.taH6213with us in thisH2088wayH2088,bringingH3318us outH3318of Egyptמִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃mi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714?

12Is thisזֶ֣הzehH2088not the wordהַדָּבָ֗רha.da.VarH1697that we spokeדִּבַּ֨רְנוּdi.Bar.nuH1696to you in Egyptבְמִצְרַ֙יִם֙ve.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, ‘Leaveחֲדַ֥לcha.DalH2308us aloneH4480so that we may serveוְנַֽעַבְדָ֣הve.na.'av.DahH5647the EgyptiansH4714’?For it would have been betterט֥וֹבTovH2896for us to serveעֲבֹ֣ד'a.VodH5647the EgyptiansH4714thanH4480to dieמִמֻּתֵ֖נוּmi.mu.Te.nuH4191in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ba.mid.BarH4057!”

13But Mosesמֹשֶׁ֣הmo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the peopleהָעָם֮ha.'AmH5971, “Do not fearתִּירָאוּ֒ti.ra.'UH3372!Standהִֽתְיַצְב֗וּhit.yatz.VuH3320by and seeוּרְאוּ֙u.re.'UH7200the salvationיְשׁוּעַ֣תye.shu.'AtH3444of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834He will performיַעֲשֶׂ֥הya.'a.SehH6213for you todayהַיּ֑וֹםhai.YomH3117;for the EgyptiansH4714whomאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834you have seenרְאִיתֶ֤םre.'i.TemH7200todayהַיּ֔וֹםhai.YomH3117,you will neverלֹ֥א ע֖וֹדlo' odH3808 H5750seeלִרְאֹתָ֥םlir.'o.TamH7200them againתֹסִ֛יפוּto.Si.fuH3254,everעַד־ עוֹלָֽם׃'ad- o.LamH5704 H5769.

14The Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068will fightיִלָּחֵ֣םyi.la.ChemH3898for you, whileyou keepתַּחֲרִישֽׁוּן׃ פta.cha.ri.ShunH2790silentH2790.”

15Then the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872, “Whyמַה־mah-H4100are you cryingתִּצְעַ֖קtitz.'AkH6817outH6817to Me? Tellדַּבֵּ֥רda.BerH1696the sonsבְּנֵי־be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478to goH5265forwardH5265.

16As for you, liftH7311upH7311your staffמַטְּךָ֗ma.te.KhaH4294and reachH5186outH5186with your handיָדְךָ֛ya.de.KhaH3027overעַל־'al-H5921the seaהַיָּ֖םhai.YamH3220and divideוּבְקָעֵ֑הוּu.ve.ka.'E.huH1234it, and the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478shallgoוְיָבֹ֧אוּve.ya.Vo.'uH935throughH935the midstבְּת֥וֹךְbe.TokhH8432of the seaהַיָּ֖םhai.YamH3220on dryבַּיַּבָּשָֽׁה׃bai.ya.ba.ShahH3004landH3004.

17And as for Me, beholdH2009, I willhardenמְחַזֵּק֙me.cha.ZekH2388the heartsלֵ֣בlevH3820of the EgyptiansH4714so that they will goוְיָבֹ֖אוּve.ya.Vo.'uH935inH935afterאַחֲרֵיהֶ֑ם'a.cha.rei.HemH310them; and I will be honoredוְאִכָּבְדָ֤הve.'i.ka.ve.DahH3513through Pharaohבְּפַרְעֹה֙be.far.'OhH6547and allוּבְכָל־u.ve.Khol-H3605his armyחֵיל֔וֹchei.LoH2428,through his chariotsבְּרִכְבּ֖וֹbe.rikh.BoH7393and his horsemenוּבְפָרָשָֽׁיו׃u.ve.fa.ra.ShavH6571.

18Then the EgyptiansH4714will knowוְיָדְע֥וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,when I am honoredבְּהִכָּבְדִ֣יbe.hi.ka.ve.DiH3513through Pharaohבְּפַרְעֹ֔הbe.far.'OhH6547,through his chariotsבְּרִכְבּ֖וֹbe.rikh.BoH7393,and through his horsemenוּבְפָרָשָֽׁיו׃u.ve.fa.ra.ShavH6571.”

19Thenthe angelמַלְאַ֣ךְmal.'AkhH4397of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֗יםha.'E.lo.HimH430,who had been goingהַהֹלֵךְ֙ha.ho.leKhH1980beforeלִפְנֵי֙lif.NeiH6440the campמַחֲנֵ֣הma.cha.NehH4264of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,movedוַיִּסַּ֞עvai.yi.Sa'H5265and wentוַיֵּ֖לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980behindמֵאַחֲרֵיהֶ֑םme.'a.cha.rei.HemH4480 H310them; and the pillarעַמּ֤וּד'a.MudH5982of cloudהֶֽעָנָן֙he.'a.NanH6051movedוַיִּסַּ֞עvai.yi.Sa'H5265from beforeמִפְּנֵיהֶ֔םmi.pe.nei.HemH4480 H6440them and stoodוַיַּֽעֲמֹ֖דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975behindמֵאַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃me.'a.cha.rei.HemH4480 H310them.

20So it cameוַיָּבֹ֞אvai.ya.Vo'H935betweenH996the campמַחֲנֵ֣הma.cha.NehH4264of Egyptמִצְרַ֗יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714and the campמַחֲנֵ֣הma.cha.NehH4264of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478;and there was the cloudהֶֽעָנָן֙he.'a.NanH6051along with the darknessוְהַחֹ֔שֶׁךְve.ha.Cho.shekhH2822,yet it gaveH215lightH215at nightהַלָּ֑יְלָהha.La.ye.lahH3915.Therefore the oneזֶ֛הzehH2088did not approachקָרַ֥בka.RavH7126the otherזֶ֖הzehH2088allכָּל־kol-H3605nightהַלָּֽיְלָה׃ha.La.ye.lahH3915.

21Then Mosesמֹשֶׁ֣הmo.ShehH4872reachedH5186outH5186with his handיָדוֹ֮ya.DoH3027overעַל־'al-H5921the seaהַיָּם֒hai.YamH3220;and the Lordיְהוָ֣ה׀Yah.wehH3068sweptוַיּ֣וֹלֶךְvai.Yo.lekhH1980the seaהַ֠יָּםHai.yomH3220backby a strongעַזָּה֙'a.ZahH5794eastקָדִ֤יםka.DimH6921windבְּר֨וּחַbe.Ru.achH7307allכָּל־kol-H3605nightהַלַּ֔יְלָהha.Lay.lahH3915,and turnedוַיָּ֥שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760the seaהַיָּ֖םhai.YamH3220intodryלֶחָרָבָ֑הle.cha.ra.VahH2724landH2724, andthe watersהַמָּֽיִם׃ha.Ma.yimH4325were dividedוַיִּבָּקְע֖וּvai.yi.ba.ke.'UH1234.

22Sothe sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478wentH935throughH935the midstבְּת֥וֹךְbe.TokhH8432of the seaהַיָּ֖םhai.YamH3220on the dryבַּיַּבָּשָׁ֑הbai.ya.ba.ShahH3004landH3004, andthe watersוְהַמַּ֤יִםve.ha.Ma.yimH4325were likea wallחֹמָ֔הcho.MahH2346to them on their rightמִֽימִינָ֖םmi.mi.NamH3225and on their leftוּמִשְּׂמֹאלָֽם׃u.mi.se.mo.LamH8040.

23Thenthe EgyptiansH4714tookH7291upH7291theH7291pursuitH7291,and allכֹּ֚לkolH3605Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547horsesס֣וּסsusH5483,his chariotsרִכְבּ֖וֹrikh.BoH7393,and his horsemenוּפָרָשָׁ֑יוu.fa.ra.ShavH6571wentH935inH935afterאַחֲרֵיהֶ֔ם'a.cha.rei.HemH310them into the midstתּ֖וֹךְTokhH8432of the seaהַיָּֽם׃hai.YamH3220.
