Psalms 94
The Lord Implored to Avenge His People.
1O LordH3068, GodH410 of 12vengeanceH5360, GodH410 of 3vengeanceH5360, 45shineH3313 forthH3313!26RiseH5375 up, O 7JudgeH8199 of the earthH776, RenderH7725 recompenseH1576 8to the proudH1343.3HowH4970 longH5704H4970 shall the wickedH7563, O LordH3068, HowH4970 longH5704H4970 shall the 9wickedH7563 exultH5937?4They pourH5042 forthH5042 words, they 10speakH1696 arrogantlyH6277; AllH3605 who doH6466 wickednessH205 11vauntH559 themselves.5They 12crushH1792 Your peopleH5971, O LordH3068, And 13afflictH6031 Your heritageH5159.6They 14slayH2026 the widowH490 and the 15strangerH1616 And murderH7523 the orphansH3490.716They have saidH559, “17The LordH3050 does not seeH7200, NorH3808 does the GodH430 of JacobH3290 payH995 heedH995.”
8PayH995 heedH995, you 18senselessH1197 among the peopleH5971; And whenH4970 will you understandH7919, 19stupidH3684 onesH3684?9He who 20plantedH5193 the earH241, 21does He not hearH8085? He who formedH3335 the eyeH5869, 22does He not seeH5027?10He who 2324chastensH3256 the nationsH1471, will He not rebukeH3198, Even He who 25teachesH3925 manH120 knowledgeH1847?11The LordH3068 26knowsH3045 the thoughtsH4284 of manH120, 27That they are a mere breathH1892.
12BlessedH835 is the manH1397 whomH834 28You chastenH3256, O 29LordH3050, And 30whom You teachH3925 out of Your lawH8451;13That You may grantH8252 him 31reliefH8252 from the 32daysH3117 of adversityH7451, UntilH5704 33a pitH7845 is dugH3738 for the wickedH7563.14For 34the LordH3068 will not abandonH5203 His peopleH5971, NorH3808 will He 35forsakeH5800 His inheritanceH5159.15For 3637judgmentH4941 38will againH7725 be righteousH6664, And allH3605 the uprightH3477 in heartH3820 39will followH310 it.16WhoH4310 will 40standH6965 up for me againstH5973 evildoersH7489? WhoH4310 will takeH3320 his standH3320 for me 41againstH5973 those who doH6466 wickednessH205?
17IfH3884 42the LordH3068 had not beenH1961 my helpH5833, My soulH5315 would soonH4592 have dweltH7931 in the abode of silenceH1745.18IfH518 I should sayH559, “43My footH7272 has slippedH4131,” Your lovingkindnessH2617, O LordH3068, will holdH5582 me up.19When my anxiousH8312 thoughtsH8312 44multiplyH7230 withinH7130 me, Your 45consolationsH8575 delightH8173 my soulH5315.20Can a 4647throneH3678 of destructionH1942 be alliedH2266 with You, One 48which devisesH3335 49mischiefH5999 by decreeH2706?21They 50bandH1481 themselves togetherH1413 againstH5921 the 51lifeH5315 of the righteousH6662 And 52condemnH7561 53the innocentH5355 to deathH1818.22But the LordH3068 has beenH1961 my 54strongholdH4869, And my GodH430 the 55rockH6697 of my refugeH4268.23He has 56broughtH7725 backH7725 their wickednessH205 upon them And will 5758destroyH6789 them in their evilH7451; The LordH3068 our GodH430 will 59destroyH6789 them.
