Psalms 106:6-43
61We have sinnedH2398 23likeH5973 our fathersH1, We have committedH5753 iniquityH5753, we have behavedH7561 wickedlyH7561.7Our fathersH1 in EgyptH4714 did not understandH7919 Your 4wondersH6381; They 5did not rememberH2142 6Your abundantH7230 kindnessesH2617, But 7rebelledH4784 by the seaH3220, at the 8RedH5488H3220 SeaH3220.8Nevertheless He savedH3467 them 9for the sakeH4616 of His nameH8034, That He might 10makeH3045 His powerH1369 knownH3045.9Thus He 11rebukedH1605 the 12RedH5488H3220 SeaH3220 and it 13driedH2717 up, And He 14ledH1980 them through the deepsH8415, as through the wildernessH4057.10So He 15savedH3467 them from the 16handH3027 of the one who hatedH8130 them, And 17redeemedH1350 them from the 18handH3027 of the enemyH340.1119The watersH4325 coveredH3680 their adversariesH6862; Not oneH259 of them was leftH3498.12Then they 20believedH539 His wordsH1697; They 21sangH7891 His praiseH8416.
13They quicklyH4116 22forgotH7911 His worksH4639; They 23did not waitH2442 for His counselH6098,14But 24cravedH183 intenselyH8378 in the wildernessH4057, And 2526temptedH5254 GodH410 in the desertH3452.15So He 27gaveH5414 them their requestH7596, But 28sentH7971 a 29wastingH7332 diseaseH7332 among them.
16When they becameH7065 30enviousH7065 of MosesH4872 in the campH4264, And of AaronH175, the holyH6918 oneH6918 of the LordH3068,17The 31earthH776 openedH6605 and swallowedH1104 up DathanH1885, And engulfedH3680 the 32companyH5712 of AbiramH48.18And a 33fireH784 blazedH1197 up in their 34companyH5712; The flameH3852 consumedH3857 the wickedH7563.
19They 35madeH6213 a calfH5695 in HorebH2722 And worshipedH7812 a moltenH4541 imageH4541.20Thus they 36exchangedH4171 their gloryH3519 For the imageH8403 of an oxH7794 that eatsH398 grassH6212.21They 37forgotH7911 GodH410 their SaviorH3467, Who had doneH6213 38greatH1419 thingsH1419 in EgyptH4714,223940WondersH6381 in the landH776 of HamH2526 And awesomeH3372 things by the 41RedH5488H3220 SeaH3220.23Therefore 42He saidH559 that He would destroyH8045 them, Had not 43MosesH4872 His chosenH972 one stoodH5975 in the breachH6556 beforeH6440 Him, To turnH7725 awayH7725 His wrathH2534 from destroyingH7843 them.24Then they 44despisedH3988 the 45pleasantH2532 landH776; They 46did not believeH539 in His wordH1697,25But 47grumbledH7279 in their tentsH168; They did not listenH8085 to the voiceH6963 of the LordH3068.26Therefore He 4849sworeH5375H3027 to them That He would castH5307 them downH5307 in the wildernessH4057,27And that He would 50castH5307 their seedH2233 among the nationsH1471 And 51scatterH2219 them in the landsH776.
28They 52joinedH6775 themselves also to 53Baal-peorH1187, And ateH398 54sacrificesH2077 offered to the deadH4191.29Thus they 55provokedH3707 Him to angerH3707 with their deedsH4611, And the plagueH4046 brokeH6555 out among them.30Then PhinehasH6372 56stoodH5975 up and interposedH6419, And so the 57plagueH4046 was stayedH6113.31And it was 58reckonedH2803 to him for righteousnessH6666, To allH1755 generationsH1755 foreverH5704H5769.
32They also 59provokedH7107 Him to wrathH7107 at the watersH4325 of 60MeribahH4809, So that it 61wentH7489 hardH7489 with MosesH4872 on their accountH5668;33BecauseH3588 they 62were rebelliousH4784 againstH854 63His SpiritH7307, He spokeH981 rashlyH981 with his lipsH8193.
34They 64did not destroyH8045 the peoplesH5971, As 65the LordH3068 commandedH559 them,35But 66they mingledH6148 with the nationsH1471 And learnedH3925 their 67practicesH4639,36And 68servedH5647 their idolsH6091, 69Which becameH1961 a snareH4170 to them.37They even 70sacrificedH2076 their sonsH1121 and their daughtersH1323 to the 71demonsH7700,38And shedH8210 72innocentH5355 bloodH1818, The bloodH1818 of their 73sonsH1121 and their daughtersH1323, WhomH834 they sacrificedH2076 to the idolsH6091 of CanaanH3667; And the landH776 was 74pollutedH2610 with the bloodH1818.39Thus they becameH2930 75uncleanH2930 in their 76practicesH4639, And 77playedH2181 the harlotH2181 in their deedsH4611.
40Therefore the 78angerH639 of the LordH3068 was kindledH2734 against His peopleH5971 And He 79abhorredH8581 His 8081inheritanceH5159.41Then 82He gaveH5414 them into the handH3027 of the 83nationsH1471, And thoseH1992 who hatedH8130 them ruledH4910 over them.42Their enemiesH340 also 84oppressedH3905 them, And they were subduedH3665 underH8478 their 85powerH3027.43ManyH7227 timesH6471 He would 86deliverH5337 them; They, however, were rebelliousH4784 in their 87counselH6098, And so 88sankH4355 downH4355 in their iniquityH5771.
