2SoG3767 they madeG4160 Him a supperG1173 thereG1563, and 1MarthaG3136 was servingG1247; but LazarusG2976 was oneG1520 of thoseG3588 recliningG345 at the table with Him. 32MaryG3137 thenG3767 tookG2983 a 3poundG3046 of veryG4186 costlyG4186 4perfumeG3464 of pureG4101 nardG3487, and anointedG218 the feetG4228 of JesusG2424 and wipedG1591 His feetG4228 with her hairG2359; and the houseG3614 was filledG4137 with the fragranceG3744 of the perfumeG3464. 4But 5JudasG2455 IscariotG2469, oneG1520 of His disciplesG3101, who was intendingG3195 to 6betrayG3860 Him, saidG3004, 5“WhyG1223G5101 was thisG3778 perfumeG3464 not soldG4097 for 7threeG5145 hundredG5145 denariiG1220 and givenG1325 to poorG4434 people?” 6NowG1161 he saidG3004 thisG3778, not becauseG3754 he was concernedG3199 aboutG4012 the poorG4434, but becauseG3754 he was a thiefG2812, and as he 8hadG2192 the moneyG1101 boxG1101, he used to pilferG941 9what was putG906 into it. 7ThereforeG3767 JesusG2424 saidG3004, “LetG863 her aloneG863, soG2443 that she may keepG5083 10it for 11the dayG2250 of My burialG1780. 812For you alwaysG3842 haveG2192 the poorG4434 with you, but you do not alwaysG3842 haveG2192 Me.”

9The 13largeG4183 crowdG3793 of the JewsG2453 thenG3767 learnedG1097 that He was thereG1563; and they cameG2064, not for Jesus’G2424 sakeG1223 onlyG3440, but that they might alsoG2532 seeG3708 LazarusG2976, 14whomG3739 He raisedG1453 from the deadG3498.
