Isaiah 13:4-22
4A 1soundH6963 of tumultH1995 on the mountainsH2022, LikeH1823 that of manyH7227 peopleH5971! A soundH6963 of the uproarH7588 of kingdomsH4467, Of nationsH1471 gatheredH622 together! The LordH3068 of hostsH6635 is musteringH6485 the armyH6635 for battleH4421.5They are comingH935 from a farH4801 countryH776, From the 23farthestH7093 horizonsH8064, The LordH3068 and His instrumentsH3627 of 4indignationH2195, To 5destroyH2254 the wholeH3605 landH776.6WailH3213, for the 6dayH3117 of the LordH3068 is nearH7138! It will comeH935 as 7destructionH7701 from 8the AlmightyH7706.7ThereforeH5921H3651 9allH3605 handsH3027 will fallH7503 limpH7503, And everyH3605 man’sH582 10heartH3824 will meltH4549.8They will be 11terrifiedH926, PainsH6735 and anguishH2256 will takeH270 holdH270 of them; They will 12writheH2342 like a woman in laborH3205, They will lookH8539 at oneH376 anotherH7453 in astonishmentH8539, Their facesH6440 aflameH3857.9BeholdH2009, 13the dayH3117 of the LordH3068 is comingH935, CruelH394, with furyH5678 and burningH2740 angerH639, To makeH7760 the landH776 a desolationH8047; And He will exterminateH8045 its sinnersH2400 from it.10For the 14starsH3556 of heavenH4605 and their constellationsH3685 Will not flashH1984 forthH1984 their lightH216; The 15sunH8121 will be darkH2821 when it risesH3318 And the moonH3394 will not shedH5050 its lightH216.11Thus I will 16punishH6485 the worldH8398 for its evilH7463 And the 17wickedH7563 for their iniquityH5771; I will also putH7673 an endH7673 to the 18arroganceH1347 of the proudH2086 And abaseH8213 the 19haughtinessH1346 of the 2021ruthlessH6184.12I will makeH3365 mortalH582 manH582 2223scarcerH3365 thanH4480 pureH6337 goldH6337 And mankindH120 thanH4480 the 24goldH3800 of OphirH211.13ThereforeH5921H3651 I will make the 25heavensH8064 trembleH7264, And 26the earthH776 will be shakenH7493 from its placeH4725 At the furyH5678 of the LordH3068 of hostsH6635 In 27the dayH3117 of His burningH2740 angerH639.14And it will be that like a huntedH5080 gazelleH6643, Or like 28sheepH6629 with noneH369 to gatherH6908 them, They will eachH376 turnH6437 to his own peopleH5971, And eachH376 oneH376 fleeH5127 to his own landH776.15AnyoneH3605 who is foundH4672 will be 29thrustH1856 throughH1856, And anyoneH3605 who is capturedH5595 will fallH5307 by the swordH2719.16Their 30littleH5768 onesH5768 also will be dashedH7376 to piecesH7376 Before their eyesH5869; Their housesH1004 will be plunderedH8155 And their wivesH802 ravishedH7693.
17BeholdH2009, I am going to 31stirH5782 up the MedesH4074 againstH5921 them, WhoH834 will not valueH2803 silverH3701 or 32takeH2654 pleasureH2654 in goldH2091.18And their bowsH7198 will 33mowH7376 downH7376 the 34youngH5288 menH5288, They will not even haveH7355 compassionH7355 on the fruitH6529 of the wombH990, Nor will their 35eyeH5869 pityH2347 36childrenH1121.19And 37BabylonH894, the 38beautyH6643 of kingdomsH4467, the gloryH8597 of the Chaldeans’H3778 prideH1347, Will be as when GodH430 39overthrewH4114 SodomH5467 and GomorrahH6017.20It will 40neverH3808H5331 be inhabitedH3427 or livedH7931 in from generationH1755 to generationH1755; NorH3808 will the 41ArabH6163 pitchH167 his tentH167 thereH8033, NorH3808 will shepherdsH7462 make their flocks lieH7257 downH7257 thereH8033.21But 42desertH6716 creaturesH6716 will lieH7257 downH7257 thereH8033, And their housesH1004 will be fullH4390 of 43owlsH255; OstrichesH3284 also will liveH7931 thereH8033, and 44shaggyH8163 goatsH8163 will frolicH7540 thereH8033.2245HyenasH338 will howlH6031 in their fortifiedH490 towers And jackalsH8565 in their luxuriousH6027 46palacesH1964. Her fateful timeH6256 also 47will soonH7138 comeH935 And her daysH3117 will not be prolongedH4900.
