7ThereforeG686, 1be sureG1097 that 2it is thoseG3588 who are of faithG4102 whoG3778 are 3sonsG5207 of AbrahamG11. 8The ScriptureG1124, foreseeingG4275 that GodG2316 4would justifyG1344 the 5GentilesG1484 by faithG4102, preachedG4283 the gospelG4283 beforehandG4283 to AbrahamG11, saying, “6AllG3956 the nationsG1484 will be blessedG1757 in you.” 9SoG5620 thenG5620 7thoseG3588 who are of faithG4102 are blessedG2127 with 8AbrahamG11, the believerG4103.

10For as manyG3745 as are of the worksG2041 of 9the LawG3551 are underG5259 a curseG2671; for it is writtenG1125, “10CursedG1944 is everyoneG3956 whoG3739 does not abideG1696 by allG3956 thingsG3956 writtenG1125 in the bookG975 of the lawG3551, to performG4160 them.” 11NowG1161 that 11noG3762 oneG3762 is justifiedG1344 12by 13the LawG3551 beforeG3844 GodG2316 is evidentG1212; for, “1415The righteousG1342 manG1342 shall liveG2198 by faithG4102.” 1216HoweverG1161, the LawG3551 is not 17of faithG4102; on the contraryG235, “18He who practicesG4160 them shall liveG2198 19by them.” 13ChristG5547 20redeemedG1805 us from the curseG2671 of the LawG3551, having becomeG1096 a curseG2671 for us--for it is writtenG1125, “21CursedG1944 is everyoneG3956 who hangsG2910 on 22a 23treeG3586”-- 14in orderG2443 that 24in ChristG5547 JesusG2424 the blessingG2129 of AbrahamG11 might 25comeG1096 to the GentilesG1484, soG2443 that we 26would receiveG2983 27the promiseG1860 of the SpiritG4151 throughG1223 faithG4102.
