2OtherwiseἐπεὶepeiG1893,would they not have ceasedἐπαύσαντοepausantoG3973to be offeredπροσφερόμεναιprospheromenaiG4374,becauseδιὰdiaG1223the worshipersλατρεύονταςlatreuontasG3000,having onceἅπαξhapaxG530been cleansedκεκαθαρισμένους.kekatharismenousG2511,would noμηδεμίανmēdemianG3367longerἔτιetiG2089haveG2192hadG2192consciousnessσυνείδησινsuneidēsinG4893of sinsἁμαρτιῶνhamartiōnG266?

3But inthoseαὐταῖςautaisG846sacrificesthere is a reminderἀνάμνησιςanamnēsisG364of sinsἁμαρτιῶνhamartiōnG266yearἐνιαυτόν·eniautonG1763by yearG1763.

4For it isimpossibleἀδύνατονadunatonG102for thebloodαἷμαhaimaG129of bullsταύρωνtaurōnG5022and goatsτράγωνtragōnG5131to takeἀφαιρεῖνaphaireinG851awayG851sinsἁμαρτίας.¶hamartiasG266.

5ThereforeΔιὸDioG1352,when He comesεἰσερχόμενοςeiserchomenosG1525into the worldκόσμονkosmonG2889,He saysλέγει·legeiG3004, “SacrificeθυσίανthusianG2378and offeringπροσφορὰνprosphoranG4376You have not desiredἠθέλησας,ēthelēsasG2309, Buta bodyσῶμαsōmaG4983You have preparedκατηρτίσωkatērtisōG2675for Me;

6In wholeG3646burntὁλοκαυτώματαholokautōmataG3646offeringsG3646and sacrificesfor sinἁμαρτίαςhamartiasG266You have takenG2106noοὐκoukG3756pleasureG2106.

13waitingἐκδεχόμενοςekdechomenosG1551from that timeG3062onwardG3062untilἕωςhe'ōsG2193His enemiesἐχθροὶechthroiG2190be madeτεθῶσινtethōsinG5087a footstoolὑποπόδιονhupopodionG5286for His feetποδῶνpodōnG4228.

14For by oneμιᾷmiaG1520offeringπροσφορᾷprosphoraG4376He hasperfectedτετελείωκενteteleiōkenG5048for allG1336timeδιηνεκὲςdiēnekesG1336thoseG3588who aresanctifiedἁγιαζομένους.hagiazomenousG37.

15Andthe Holyἅγιον·hagionG40SpiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151alsoκαὶkaiG2532testifiesμαρτυρεῖmartureiG3140to us; for afterμετὰmetaG3326sayingG3004,

16“ThisαὕτηhautēG3778is the covenantδιαθήκηdiathēkēG1242that I will makeδιαθήσομαιdiathēsomaiG1303with themAfterμετὰmetaG3326thoseἐκείνας,ekeinasG1565daysἡμέραςhēmerasG2250,saysλέγειlegeiG3004the Lordκύριος,kuriosG2962:I will putδιδοὺςdidousG1325My lawsνόμουςnomousG3551upon their heartκαρδίαςkardiasG2588,And on their mindδιάνοιανdianoianG1271I will writeἐπιγράψωepigrapsōG1924them,” He then says,

18NowδὲdeG1161whereὅπουhopouG3699there is forgivenessἄφεσιςaphesisG859of theseG3778thingsG3778,there is noG3765longerG3765anyofferingπροσφορὰprosphoraG4376for sinἁμαρτίας.¶hamartiasG266.
