Proverbs 1:24-33
24Because I have calledH7121, and ye refusedH3985; I have stretchedH5186 out my handH3027, and no one regarded; 25and ye have rejected all my counselH6098, and wouldH14 none of my reproof: 26I alsoH1571 will laughH7832 in your calamityH343, I will mockH3932 when your fearH6343 cometh; 27when your fearH6343 cometh as sudden destruction, and your calamityH343 cometh as a whirlwind; when distressH6869 and anguish comeH935 upon you: 28— thenH227 will they callH7121 upon me, but I will not answerH6030; they will seekH7836 me early, and shall not findH4672 me. 29Because they hatedH8130 knowledgeH1847, and did not chooseH977 the fearH3374 of Jehovah; 30they wouldH14 none of my counselH6098, they despised all my reproof: 31therefore shall they eatH398 of the fruitH6529 of their wayH1870, and be filled with their own devices. 32For the turning away of the simple shall slayH2026 them, and the prosperityH7962 of the foolish shall cause them to perishH6. 33But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwellH7931 safely, and shall be at rest from fearH6343 of evilH7451.
