Job 8
Darby Bible
1And BildadH1085 the ShuhiteH7747 answered and saidH559, 2How long wilt thou speak these thingsH428? and the wordsH561 of thy mouthH6310 be a strong windH7307? 3Doth 1GodH410 pervertH5791 judgmentH4941, and the AlmightyH7706 pervertH5791 justiceH4941? 4If thy children have sinnedH2398 against him, he hath also given them over into the handH3027 of their transgressionH6588. 5If thou seekH7836 earnestlyH7836 unto 2GodH410, and make thy supplication to the AlmightyH7706, 6If thou be pureH2134 and uprightH3477, surely nowH6258 he will awakeH5782 for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousnessH6664 prosperous; 7And though thy beginning wasH1961 smallH4705, yet thine endH319 shall beH1961 veryH3966 great. 8For inquire, I pray thee, of the formerH7223 generationH1755, and attend to the researches of their fathersH1; 9For we are [but] of yesterdayH8543, and knowH3045 nothing, for our daysH3117 upon earthH776 are a shadowH6738. 10Shall not they teachH3384 thee, [and] tell thee, and utter wordsH4405 out of their heartH3820? 11Doth the papyrusH1573 shoot up without mire? doth the reed-grass growH7685 without waterH4325? 12Whilst it is yetH5750 in its greenness [and] not cut down, it withereth before any [other] grassH2682. 13SoH3651 are the pathsH734 of all that forgetH7911 3GodH410; and the profane man's hopeH8615 shall perishH6, 14Whose confidenceH4009 shall be cut off, and his reliance is a spider's web. 15He shall leanH8172 upon his houseH1004, and it shall not standH5975; he shall lay holdH2388 on it, but it shall not endure. 16He is full of sap before the sunH8121, and his sprout shooteth forthH3318 over his gardenH1593; 17His rootsH8328 are entwined about the stoneheap; he seeth the place of stonesH68. 18If he destroy him from his placeH4725, then it shall denyH3584 him: I have not seenH7200 thee! 19Behold, this is the joyH4885 of his wayH1870, and out of the dustH6083 shall othersH312 growH6779. 20Behold, 4GodH410 will not cast off a perfectH8535 man, neither will he takeH2388 evil-doers by the handH3027. 21Whilst he would fillH4390 thy mouthH6310 with laughing and thy lipsH8193 with shoutingH8643, 22They that hateH8130 thee shall be clothedH3847 with shameH1322, and the tentH168 of the wickedH7563 be no more.
