Job 33
Darby Bible
1Howbeit, JobH347, I pray thee, hearH8085 mine utterances, and hearken to all my wordsH1697. 2Behold now, I have openedH6605 my mouthH6310, my tongueH3956 speaketh in my palateH2441, 3My wordsH561 shall be of the uprightnessH3476 of my heartH3820, and my lipsH8193 shall utter knowledgeH1847 purely. 4The SpiritH7307 of 1GodH410 hath madeH6213 me, and the breathH7307 of the AlmightyH7706 hath given me lifeH2421. 5If thou canst, answer me; array [thy words] before me: take thy standH3320. 6Behold, before 2GodH410 I am as thou; I alsoH1571 am formed out of the clay. 7Behold, my terrorH367 shall not makeH3513 thee afraid, nor my burden be heavyH3513 upon thee. 8SurelyH389 thou hast spoken in my hearing, and I have heardH8085 the voiceH6963 of [thy] wordsH4405: — 9I am clean without transgressionH6588; I am pureH2134, and there is no iniquityH5771 in me; 10Lo, he findeth occasions of hostility against me, he counteth me for his enemyH341; 11He putteth my feetH7272 in the stocksH5465, he marketh all my pathsH734. 12Behold, I will answerH6030 thee in this, thou art not rightH6663; for 3GodH433 is greaterH7235 than man. 13WhyH4069 dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his mattersH1697. 14For 4GodH410 speaketh once, and twice, — [and man] perceiveth it not — 15In a dreamH2472, in a visionH2384 of the nightH3915, when deepH8639 sleepH8639 falleth upon menH376, in slumberings upon the bedH4904; 16ThenH227 he openeth men's earsH241, and sealeth their instruction, 17That he may withdraw manH120 [from his] workH4639, and hide prideH1466 from manH120. 18He keepeth backH2820 his soulH5315 from the pitH7845, and his lifeH5315 from passingH5674 away by the sword. 19He is chastened also with painH4341 upon his bedH4904, and with constant strifeH7379 in his bonesH6106; 20And his lifeH5315 abhorreth breadH3899, and his soulH5315 dainty foodH3899; 21His fleshH1320 is consumed awayH3615 from view, and his bonesH6106 that were not seenH7200 stick out; 22And his soulH5315 draweth near to the pitH7845, and his lifeH5315 to the destroyers. 23If there be a messengerH4397 with him, an interpreter, oneH259 among a thousandH505, to shew unto manH120 his duty; 24Then he will be gracious unto him, and sayH559, Deliver him from goingH3381 downH3381 to the pitH7845: I have foundH4672 a ransomH3724. 25His fleshH1320 shall be fresher than in childhood; he shall returnH7725 to the daysH3117 of his youthH5290. 26He shall prayH6279 unto 5GodH433, and he will receive him with favour; and he shall seeH7200 his faceH6440 with shoutings, and he will render unto man his righteousnessH6666. 27He will sing before menH376, and sayH559, I have sinnedH2398, and perverted what was rightH3477, and it hath not been requited to me; 28He hath delivered my soulH5315 from going into the pitH7845, and my lifeH5315 shall seeH7200 the lightH216. 29Lo, all these [thingsH428] worketh 6GodH410 twice, thrice, with manH1397, 30To bringH7725 backH7725 his soulH5315 from the pitH7845, that he may be enlightened with the lightH216 of the living. 31Mark well, JobH347, hearken unto me; be silentH2790, and I will speakH1696. 32If thou hast anything to sayH1696, answer me; speakH1696, for I desireH2654 to justifyH6663 thee. 33If not, hearken thou unto me; be silentH2790, and I will teachH502 thee wisdomH2451.
