Job 5
Darby Bible
1CallH7121, I pray thee! Is there any that answereth thee? and to which of the holyH6918 onesH6918 wilt thou turnH6437? 2For vexation killeth the foolish man, and envyH7068 slayeth the simple. 3I myself sawH7200 the foolish taking rootH8327, but suddenlyH6597 I cursed his habitation. 4His children are farH7368 from safetyH3468, and they are crushedH1792 in the gateH8179, and there is no delivererH5337: 5Whose harvestH7105 the hungryH7456 eateth up, and taketh even out of the thornsH6791; and the snare gapeth for his substance. 6For evil cometh not forthH3318 from the dustH6083, neither doth troubleH5999 springH6779 out of the groundH127; 7For manH120 is bornH3205 to troubleH5999, as the sparks flyH5774 upwards. 8But as for me I will seekH1875 unto 1GodH430, and unto 2GodH430 commit my causeH1700; 9Who doeth greatH1419 thingsH1419 and unsearchable, marvellous thingsH1419 without numberH4557; 10Who giveth rainH4306 on the faceH6440 of the earthH776, and sendeth watersH4325 on the faceH6440 of the fields; 11Setting up on highH4791 those that are lowH8217; and mourners are exaltedH7682 to prosperity. 12He disappointeth the devices of the craftyH6175, and their handsH3027 carry not out the enterprise. 13He taketh the wiseH2450 in their own craftiness; and the counselH6098 of the wily is carried headlong: 14They meetH6298 with darknessH2822 in the daytimeH3119, and gropeH4959 at midday as in the nightH3915. 15And he saveth the needyH34 from the swordH2719, from their mouthH6310, and from the handH3027 of the mightyH2389. 16So the poorH1800 hath what he hopeth for, and unrighteousnessH5766 stoppeth her mouthH6310. 17Behold, happy is the man whom 3GodH433 correcteth; therefore despise not the chasteningH4148 of the AlmightyH7706. 18For he maketh sore, and bindeth up; he woundeth, and his handsH3027 make whole. 19He will deliverH5337 thee in sixH8337 troubles, and in sevenH7651 there shall no evilH7451 touchH5060 thee. 20In famineH7458 he will redeemH6299 thee from deathH4194, and in warH4421 from the power of the swordH2719. 21Thou shalt be hiddenH2244 from the scourgeH7752 of the tongueH3956; and thou shalt not be afraidH3372 of destructionH7701 when it cometh. 22At destructionH7701 and famine thou shalt laughH7832, and of the beasts of the earthH776 thou shalt not be afraidH3372. 23For thou shalt be in league with the stonesH68 of the fieldH7704, and the beasts of the fieldH7704 shall be at peace with thee. 24And thou shalt knowH3045 that thy tentH168 is in peaceH7965; and thou wilt survey thy fold, and missH6485 nothing. 25And thou shalt knowH3045 that thy seedH2233 is numerousH7227, and thine offspringH2233 as the herb of the earthH776. 26Thou shalt comeH935 to the graveH6913 in a ripe age, as a shock of corn is broughtH935 in in its season. 27Behold this, we have searchedH2713 it out, so it is; hearH8085 it, and knowH3045 thou it for thyself.
