Darby Bible
Kings 8:3-9
And all the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478 cameH935; and the priestsH3548 tookH5375 up the arkH727.
And they broughtH5927 up the arkH727 of Jehovah, and the tentH168 of meetingH4150, and all the holyH6944 vesselsH3627 that were in the tentH168: the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881 broughtH5927 them up.
And kingH4428 SolomonH8010, and all the assemblyH5712 of IsraelH3478 that were assembled to him, [who were] with him before the arkH727, sacrificedH2076 sheepH6629 and oxenH1241, which could not be countedH5608 nor numbered for multitudeH7230.
And the priestsH3548 broughtH935 in the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of Jehovah to its placeH4725, into the oracle of the houseH1004, into the most holyH6944 placeH4725, under the wingsH3671 of the cherubimH3742;
for the cherubimH3742 stretched forth [their] wingsH3671 over the placeH4725 of the arkH727, and the cherubimH3742 covered the arkH727 and its staves above.
And the staves wereH1961 long, so that the ends of the staves wereH1961 seenH7200 from the holyH6944 placeH6944 before the oracle, but they wereH1961 not seenH7200 without. And there they are to this dayH3117.
There was nothingH369 in the arkH727 save the twoH8147 tables of stoneH68 which MosesH4872 placed there at HorebH2722, whenH834 Jehovah madeH3772 [a covenant] with the children of IsraelH3478, whenH834 they cameH3318 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714.
