Kings 20:22-34
And the prophetH5030 drewH5066 near to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, and saidH559 to him, GoH5927, strengthenH2388 thyself, and understand, and seeH7200 what thou shalt do; for at the returnH8666 of the yearH8141 the kingH4428 of Syria will comeH5927 up against thee.
And the servantsH5650 of the kingH4428 of Syria saidH559 to him, Their 1godsH430 are 2godsH430 of the mountainsH2022; thereforeH3651 they were strongerH2388 than we; but if we fightH3898 against them on the plateau, shall we not be strongerH2388 than they?
And do this: take the kingsH4428 awayH5493, every manH376 out of his placeH4725, and putH7760 governorsH6346 in their stead;
and numberH4487 thee an armyH2428, like the armyH2428 that thou hast lost, horseH5483 for horseH5483, and chariotH7393 for chariotH7393; and we will fightH3898 against them on the plateau: shall we not be strongerH2388 than they? And he hearkened to their voiceH6963, and did soH3651.
And it came to pass, at the returnH8666 of the yearH8141, that Ben-HadadH1130 numbered the Syrians, and wentH5927 up to AphekH663, to fight against IsraelH3478.
And the children of IsraelH3478 were numbered and victualled, and they went against them; and the children of IsraelH3478 encampedH2583 before them like twoH8147 little flocks of goatsH5795; but the Syrians filledH4390 the landH776.
And the manH376 of 3GodH430 drewH5066 near, and spoke to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 and saidH559, ThusH3541 saith Jehovah: Because the Syrians have saidH559, Jehovah is a 4godH430 of the mountainsH2022, but he is not a 5godH430 of the valleysH6010, I will giveH5414 all this greatH1419 multitudeH1995 into thy handH3027, and ye shall knowH3045 that I am Jehovah.
And they encampedH2583 oneH259 over against the other sevenH7651 daysH3117; and it came to pass that on the seventhH7637 dayH3117 the battleH4421 wasH1961 joined; and the children of IsraelH3478 smote of the Syrians a hundredH3967 thousandH505 footmen in oneH259 dayH3117.
And the rest fledH5127 to AphekH663, into the cityH5892; and the wallH2346 fellH5307 on twenty-seven thousandH505 menH376 of them that were leftH3498. And Ben-HadadH1130 fledH5127, and cameH935 into the cityH5892, [from] chamberH2315 to chamberH2315.
And his servantsH5650 saidH559 to him, Behold now, we have heardH8085 that the kingsH4428 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 are merciful kingsH4428: let us, I pray thee, putH7760 sackclothH8242 on our loinsH4975, and ropesH2256 upon our headsH7218, and goH3318 out to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478; perhapsH194 he will save thy lifeH5315.
And they girdedH2296 sackclothH8242 on their loinsH4975, and ropesH2256 on their headsH7218, and cameH935 to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, and saidH559, Thy servantH5650 Ben-HadadH1130 saysH559, I pray thee, let me liveH2421. And he saidH559, Is he yetH5750 aliveH2416? he is my brotherH251.
And the menH376 tookH3947 it as a good omen, and hastenedH4116 to catch what cameH935 from him, and they saidH559, Thy brotherH251 Ben-HadadH1130. ...And he saidH559, GoH3318, bringH935 him. And Ben-HadadH1130 cameH935 forthH3318 to him; and he caused him to comeH935 up into the chariotH4818.
And [Ben-Hadad] saidH559 to him, The citiesH5892 that my fatherH1 tookH3947 from thy fatherH1 I will restoreH7725; and thou shalt makeH7760 streetsH2351 for thyself in DamascusH1834, as my fatherH1 madeH3772 in SamariaH8111. And I [saidH559 Ahab] will sendH7971 thee awayH7971 with this covenantH1285. So he madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with him, and sentH7971 him awayH7971.
