Kings 15:9-25

And in the twentieth yearH8141 of JeroboamH3379 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, AsaH609 began to reignH4427 over JudahH3063;

and he reignedH4427 forty-one yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389; and his mother's nameH8034 was Maachah, daughterH1323 of AbishalomH53.

And AsaH609 did what was rightH3477 in the sight of Jehovah, as DavidH1732 his fatherH1.

And he put awayH5493 the sodomites out of the landH776, and removedH5493 all the idolsH1544 that his fatherH1 had madeH6213.

And alsoH1571 Maachah his motherH517 he removedH5493 from being queen, because she had madeH6213 an idol for the AsherahH842; and AsaH609 cutH3772 down her idol, and burnedH8313 it in the valley of KidronH6939.

But the highH1116 placesH1116 wereH1961 not removedH5493; onlyH7535, Asa's heartH3824 wasH1961 perfectH8003 with Jehovah all his daysH3117.

And he broughtH935 into the houseH1004 of Jehovah the thingsH6944 which his fatherH1 had dedicated, and the thingsH6944 which he himself had dedicated, silverH3701 and goldH2091 and vesselsH3627.

And there wasH1961 warH4421 between AsaH609 and BaashaH1201 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 all their daysH3117.

And BaashaH1201 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 cameH935 up against JudahH3063, and builtH1129 RamahH7414, in order to let none goH3318 out or comeH935 in to AsaH609 kingH4428 of JudahH3063.

And AsaH609 tookH3947 all the silverH3701 and the goldH2091 that were leftH3498 in the treasuresH214 of the houseH1004 of Jehovah, and in the treasuresH214 of the king's houseH1004, and gaveH5414 them into the handH3027 of his servantsH5650; and kingH4428 AsaH609 sentH7971 them to Ben-HadadH1130, the sonH1121 of Tabrimmon, the sonH1121 of Hezion, kingH4428 of Syria, who dweltH3427 at DamascusH1834, sayingH559,

There is a league between me and thee, [as] between my fatherH1 and thy fatherH1; behold, I sendH7971 thee a present of silverH3701 and goldH2091: goH5927, breakH6565 thy league with BaashaH1201 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, that he may depart from me.

And Ben-HadadH1130 hearkened to kingH4428 AsaH609, and sentH7971 the captains of his forces against the citiesH5892 of IsraelH3478, and smote IjonH5859, and DanH1835, and Abel-Beth-Maachah, and all Kinneroth, with all the landH776 of NaphtaliH5321.

And it came to pass when BaashaH1201 heardH8085 of it, that he left off buildingH1129 RamahH7414, and dweltH3427 in TirzahH8656.

And kingH4428 AsaH609 called together all JudahH3063: none was exempted; and they carriedH5375 awayH5375 the stonesH68 and the timber from RamahH7414, with which BaashaH1201 had been buildingH1129; and kingH4428 AsaH609 builtH1129 with them GebaH1387 of BenjaminH1144, and MizpahH4709.

And the restH3499 of all the acts of AsaH609, and all his might, and all that he did, and the citiesH5892 that he builtH1129, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chronicles of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063? OnlyH7535, in the timeH6256 of his oldH2209 age he was diseased in his feetH7272.

And AsaH609 slept with his fathersH1, and was buriedH6912 with his fathersH1 in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732 his fatherH1. And JehoshaphatH3092 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

And NadabH5070 the sonH1121 of JeroboamH3379 began to reignH4427 over IsraelH3478 in the second yearH8141 of AsaH609 kingH4428 of JudahH3063; and he reignedH4427 over IsraelH3478 twoH8147 yearsH8141.
