Matthew 11:9-17

9WhatG5101 thenG235 did you go outG1831 to seeG3708? A prophetG4396? YesG3483, I tellG3004 youG4771, andG2532 moreG4053 than a prophetG4396. 10ThisG3778 isG1510 the one aboutG4012 whomG3739 it is writtenG1125:

‘BeholdG2400, IG1473 will sendG649 MyG1473 messengerG32 ahead of YouG4253G4771G4383,whoG3739 will prepareG2680 YourG4771 wayG3598 beforeG1715 YouG4771.’1

11TrulyG281 I tellG3004 youG4771, amongG1722 those bornG1084 of womenG1135 there has risenG1453 noG3756 one greaterG3173 than JohnG2491 theG3588 BaptistG910. Yet evenG1161 theG3588 leastG3398 inG1722 theG3588 kingdomG932 ofG3588 heavenG3772 isG1510 greaterG3173 than heG846. 12FromG575 theG3588 daysG2250 of JohnG2491 theG3588 BaptistG910 untilG2193 nowG737, theG3588 kingdomG932 ofG3588 heavenG3772 has been subject to violenceG971,2 andG2532 the violentG973 lay claimG726 to itG846. 13ForG1063 allG3956 theG3588 ProphetsG4396 andG2532 theG3588 LawG3551 prophesiedG4395 untilG2193 JohnG2491. 14AndG2532 ifG1487 you are willingG2309 to acceptG1209 it, heG846 isG1510 the ElijahG2243 who wasG3195 to comeG2064.3

15He whoG3588 hasG2192 earsG3775,4 let him hearG191.

To whatG5101 can I compareG3666 thisG3778 generationG1074? They areG1510 likeG3664 childrenG3813 sittingG2521 inG1722 theG3588 marketplacesG58 andG3739 calling outG4377 to othersG2087:

17‘We played the fluteG832 for youG4771,andG2532 you did not danceG3756G3738;we sang a dirgeG2354,andG2532 you did not mournG3756G2875.’
