John 8:38-47

38I speakG2980 of whatG3739 IG1473 have seenG3708 in the presence ofG3844 theG3588 FatherG3962, andG2532 youG4771 doG4160 whatG3739 you have heardG191 fromG3844 your fatherG3962.”

39“AbrahamG11 isG1510 ourG1473 fatherG3962,” they repliedG611G2532G2036G846.

“IfG1487 you wereG1510 childrenG5043 of AbrahamG11,” saidG3004G846 JesusG2424, “you would doG4160 theG3588 worksG2041 of AbrahamG11. 40ButG1161 nowG3568 you are tryingG2212 to killG615 MeG1473, a manG444 whoG3739 has toldG2980 youG4771 theG3588 truthG225 thatG3739 I heardG191 fromG3844 GodG2316. AbrahamG11 neverG3756 didG4160 such a thingG3778. 41YouG4771 are doingG4160 theG3588 worksG2041 ofG3588 yourG4771 fatherG3962.”

“WeG1473 are not illegitimate childrenG3756G1080G1537G4202,” they declaredG2036G846. “OurG2192 onlyG1520 FatherG3962 is GodG2316 Himself.”

JesusG2424 saidG2036 to themG846, “IfG1487 GodG2316 wereG1510 yourG4771 FatherG3962, you would loveG302G25 MeG1473, forG1063 IG1473 have comeG1831 hereG2240 fromG1537 GodG2316. I have not comeG2064G3761 onG575 My ownG1683, butG235 HeG1565 sentG649 MeG1473.

43WhyG1223G5101 do you not understandG3756G1097 whatG3588 IG1699 am sayingG2981? It is becauseG3754 you are unableG3756G1410 to acceptG191 MyG1699 messageG3056. 44YouG4771 belong toG1510G1537 your fatherG3962, theG3588 devilG1228, andG2532 you wantG2309 to carry outG4160 his desiresG1939. HeG1565 wasG1510 a murdererG443 fromG575 the beginningG746, refusingG3756 to upholdG4739 theG3588 truthG225, becauseG3754 there isG1510 noG3756 truthG225 inG1722 himG846. WhenG3752 he liesG2980G3588G5579, he speaksG2980 his nativeG2398 language, becauseG3754 he isG1510 a liarG5583 andG2532 theG3588 fatherG3962 ofG846 lies. 45ButG1161 becauseG3754 IG1473 speakG3004 theG3588 truthG225, you do not believeG3756G4100 MeG1473!

46WhichG5101 ofG1537 youG4771 can prove Me guiltyG1651G1473 ofG4012 sinG266? IfG1487 I speakG3004 the truthG225, whyG1223G5101 do youG4771 notG3756 believeG4100 MeG1473? 47WhoeverG3588 belongs toG1510G1537 GodG2316 hearsG191 theG3588 wordsG4487 of GodG2316. The reasonG1223G3778 youG4771 do notG3756 hearG191 is thatG3754 you doG1510 notG3756 belongG1537 to GodG2316.”
