Isaiah 49:14-26
14But ZionH6726 saidH559, “The LORDH3068 has forsaken meH5800; the LordH136 has forgotten meH7911!”
15“Can a womanH802 forgetH7911 her nursing childH5764,or lack compassionH7355 for the sonH1121 of her wombH990?Even ifH1571 sheH428 could forgetH7911,I willH595 notH3808 forget youH7911!16BeholdH2005, I have inscribed youH2710 onH5921 the palms of My handsH3709;your wallsH2346 are everH8548 before MeH5048.17Your buildersH11211 hasten backH4116;your destroyersH2040 and wreckersH2717 departH3318 from youH4480.18Lift upH5375 your eyesH5869 and lookH7200 aroundH5439.They allH3605 gather togetherH6908; they comeH935 to you.As surely as IH589 liveH2416,” declaresH5002 the LORDH3068,“you will wear themH3847 allH3605 as jewelryH5716and put them onH7194 like a brideH3618.19ForH3588 your ruinedH2723 and desolate placesH8074and your ravaged landH776H2035will nowH6258 indeedH3588 be too smallH3334 for your peopleH3427,and those who devoured youH1104 will be far awayH7368.20YetH5750 the childrenH1121 of your bereavementH7923will sayH559 in your hearingH241,‘This placeH4725 is too small for usH6862;make roomH5066 for us to live hereH3427.’
21Then you will sayH559 in your heartH3824,‘WhoH4310 has begottenH3205 theseH428 for me?IH589 was bereavedH7909 and barrenH1565;I was exiledH1540 and rejectedH5494.So whoH4310 has reared themH428H1431?LookH2005, IH589 was leftH7604 all aloneH905,soH428 whereH375 did they come fromH1992?’”
22This is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559:
“BeholdH2009, I will lift upH5375 My handH3027 toH413 the nationsH1471,and raiseH7311 My bannerH5251 toH413 the peoplesH5971.They will bringH935 your sonsH1121 in their armsH26842and carryH5375 your daughtersH1323 onH5921 their shouldersH3802.23KingsH4428 will beH1961 your foster fathersH539,and their queensH8282 your nursing mothersH3243.They will bowH7812 to you facedownH639H776and lickH3897 the dustH6083 at your feetH7272.Then you will knowH3045 thatH3588 IH589 am the LORDH3068;those whoH834 hope in MeH6960 will neverH3808 be put to shameH954.”
24Can the plunderH4455 be snatchedH3947 from the mightyH1368,orH518 the captivesH7628 of a tyrantH66623 be deliveredH4422?
25IndeedH3588, this is whatH3541 the LORDH3068 saysH559:
“EvenH1571 the captivesH7628 of the mightyH1368 will be taken awayH3947,and the plunderH4455 of the tyrantH6184 will be retrievedH4422;IH595 will contendH7378 withH854 those who contend with youH3401,and IH595 will saveH3467 your childrenH1121.26I will make your oppressorsH3238 eatH398 their own fleshH1320;they will be drunkH7937 on their own bloodH1818, as with wineH6071.Then allH3605 mankindH1320 will knowH3045 thatH3588 IH589, the LORDH3068,am your SaviorH3467 and your RedeemerH1350,the MightyH46 One of JacobH3290.”
