1Then Miriamמִרְיָ֤םmir.YamH4813and Aaronוְאַהֲרֹן֙ve.'a.ha.RonH175criticizedוַתְּדַבֵּ֨רva.te.da.BerH1696Mosesבְּמֹשֶׁ֔הbe.mo.ShehH4872because ofעַל־ אֹד֛וֹת'al- 'o.DotH5921 H182the Cushiteהַכֻּשִׁ֖יתha.ku.ShitH3569אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834womanהָאִשָּׁ֥הha.'i.ShahH802he had marriedלָקָ֑חla.KachH3947,forכִּֽי־ki-H3588he had takenלָקָֽח׃la.KachH3947a Cushiteכֻשִׁ֖יתkhu.ShitH3569wifeאִשָּׁ֥ה'i.ShahH802.

2“Does the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068speakדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696onlyהֲרַ֤ק אַךְ־ha.Rak 'akh-H7535 H389through Mosesבְּמֹשֶׁה֙be.mo.ShehH4872?”they saidוַיֹּאמְר֗וּvai.yo.me.RuH559. “Does He notהֲלֹ֖אha.Lo'H3808alsoגַּם־gam-H1571speakדִבֵּ֑רdi.BerH1696through us?”And the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068heard thisוַיִּשְׁמַ֖עvai.yish.Ma'H8085.

3Now Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872was a veryמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966humbleעָנָ֣יוa.navH6035manוְהָאִ֥ישׁve.ha.'IshH376,more so than anyמִכֹּל֙mi.KolH3605manהָֽאָדָ֔םha.'a.DamH120אֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834onעַל־'al-H5921the faceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440of the earthהָאֲדָמָֽה׃ סha.'a.da.MahH127.

4And suddenlyפִּתְאֹ֗םpit.'OmH6597the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Mosesמֹשֶׁ֤הmo.ShehH4872וְאֶֽל־ve.'el-H413,Aaronאַהֲרֹן֙ וְאֶל־'a.ha.Ron ve.'el-H175 H413,and Miriamמִרְיָ֔םmir.YamH4813, “You threeשְׁלָשְׁתְּכֶ֖םshe.la.she.te.KhemH7969,come outצְא֥וּtze.'UH3318toאֶל־'el-H413the Tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of Meetingמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150.”So the threeשְׁלָשְׁתָּֽם׃she.la.she.TamH7969went outוַיֵּצְא֖וּvai.ye.tze.'UH3318,

5and the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068came downוַיֵּ֤רֶדvai.Ye.redH3381in a pillarבְּעַמּ֣וּדbe.'a.MudH5982of cloudעָנָ֔ן'a.NanH6051,stoodוַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975at the entranceפֶּ֣תַחPe.tachH6607to the Tentהָאֹ֑הֶלha.'O.helH168,and summonedוַיִּקְרָא֙vai.yik.Ra'H7121Aaronאַהֲרֹ֣ן'a.ha.RonH175and Miriamוּמִרְיָ֔םu.mir.YamH4813.When bothשְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃she.nei.HemH8147of them had stepped forwardוַיֵּצְא֖וּvai.ye.tze.'UH3318,

6He saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Hearשִׁמְעוּ־shim.'u-H8085nowנָ֣אna'H4994My wordsדְבָרָ֑יde.va.RaiH1697:Ifאִם־'im-H518there isיִֽהְיֶה֙yih.YehH1961a prophetנְבִ֣יאֲכֶ֔םne.Vi.'a.KhemH5030among you, I,the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,will reveal Myselfאֶתְוַדָּ֔ע'et.va.Da'H3045to himאֵלָ֣יו'e.LavH413in a visionבַּמַּרְאָה֙ba.mar.'AhH4759;I will speakאֲדַבֶּר־'a.da.ber-H1696to himin a dreamבַּחֲל֖וֹםba.cha.LomH2472.

7But this isnotלֹא־lo'-H3808soכֵ֖ןkhenH3651with My servantעַבְדִּ֣י'av.DiH5650Mosesמֹשֶׁ֑הmo.ShehH4872;heהֽוּא׃Hu'H1931is faithfulנֶאֱמָ֥ןne.'e.ManH539in allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605My houseבֵּיתִ֖יbei.TiH1004.

8I speakאֲדַבֶּר־'a.da.ber-H1696with himfaceפֶּ֣הpehH6310toאֶל־'el-H413faceפֶּ֞הpehH6310,clearlyוּמַרְאֶה֙u.mar.'EhH4758and notוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808in riddlesבְחִידֹ֔תve.chi.DotH2420;he seesיַבִּ֑יטya.BitH5027the formוּתְמֻנַ֥תu.te.mu.NatH8544of the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068.Why thenוּמַדּ֙וּעַ֙u.ma.Du.a'H4069were you unafraidלֹ֣א יְרֵאתֶ֔םlo' ye.re.TemH3808 H3372to speakלְדַבֵּ֖רle.da.BerH1696against My servantבְּעַבְדִּ֥יbe.'av.DiH5650Mosesבְמֹשֶֽׁה׃ve.mo.ShehH4872?”

9So the angerאַ֧ף'afH639of the LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068burnedוַיִּֽחַרvai.Yi.charH2734against them,and He departedוַיֵּלַֽךְ׃vai.ye.LakhH1980.

10As the cloudוְהֶעָנָ֗ןve.he.'a.NanH6051liftedסָ֚רsarH5493from aboveמֵעַ֣לme.'AlH5921the Tentהָאֹ֔הֶלha.'O.helH168,suddenlyוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009Miriamמִרְיָ֖םmir.YamH4813becameleprousמְצֹרַ֣עַתme.tzo.Ra.'atH6879, whiteas snowכַּשָּׁ֑לֶגka.Sha.legH7950.Aaronאַהֲרֹ֛ן'a.ha.RonH175turnedוַיִּ֧פֶןvai.Yi.fenH6437towardאֶל־'el-H413herמִרְיָ֖םmir.YamH4813,saw thatוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009she was leprousמְצֹרָֽעַת׃me.tzo.Ra.'atH6879,

11and saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶר אַהֲרֹ֖ןvai.Yo.mer 'a.ha.RonH559 H175toאֶל־'el-H413Mosesמֹשֶׁ֑ה בִּ֣יmo.Sheh biH4872 H994, “My lordאֲדֹנִ֔י'a.do.NiH113,pleaseנָ֨אna'H4994do notאַל־'al-H408holdתָשֵׁ֤תta.ShetH7896against usעָלֵ֙ינוּ֙'a.Lei.nuH5921this sinחַטָּ֔אתcha.TatH2403אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834we have so foolishlyנוֹאַ֖לְנוּno.'Al.nuH2973וַאֲשֶׁ֥רva.'a.SherH834committedחָטָֽאנוּ׃cha.Ta.nuH2398.

12Pleaseנָ֥אna'H4994do notאַל־'al-H408let her beתְהִ֖יte.HiH1961like a stillborn infantכַּמֵּ֑תka.MetH4191whoseאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834fleshבְשָׂרֽוֹ׃ve.sa.RoH1320is halfחֲצִ֥יcha.TziH2677consumedוַיֵּאָכֵ֖לvai.ye.'a.KhelH398when he comes outבְּצֵאתוֹ֙be.tze.ToH3318of his mother’sאִמּ֔וֹ'i.MoH517wombמֵרֶ֣חֶםme.Re.chemH7358.”

13So Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872cried outוַיִּצְעַ֣קvai.yitz.'AkH6817toאֶל־'el-H413the LORDיְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹ֑רYah.weh le.MorH3068 H559, “O Godאֵ֕ל'elH410,pleaseנָ֛אna'H4994healרְפָ֥אre.Fa'H7495נָ֖אna'H4994her!”

14But the LORDיְהוָ֜ה אֶל־Yah.weh 'el-H3068 H413answeredוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559Mosesמֹשֶׁ֗הmo.ShehH4872, “If her fatherוְאָבִ֙יהָ֙ve.'a.Vi.haH1had but spitH3417in her faceבְּפָנֶ֔יהָbe.fa.Nei.haH6440,would she notהֲלֹ֥אha.Lo'H3808have been in disgraceתִכָּלֵ֖םti.ka.LemH3637for sevenשִׁבְעַ֣תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִ֑יםya.MimH3117?Let her be confinedתִּסָּגֵ֞רti.sa.GerH5462outsideמִח֣וּץmi.ChutzH2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔הla.ma.cha.NehH4264for sevenשִׁבְעַ֤תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִים֙ya.MimH3117;after thatוְאַחַ֖רve.'a.CharH310she may be brought back inתֵּאָסֵֽף׃te.'a.SefH622.”

15So Miriamמִרְיָ֛םmir.YamH4813was confinedוַתִּסָּגֵ֥רva.ti.sa.GerH5462outsideמִח֥וּץmi.ChutzH2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖הla.ma.cha.NehH4264for sevenשִׁבְעַ֣תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִ֑יםya.MimH3117,and the peopleוְהָעָם֙ve.ha.'AmH5971did notלֹ֣אlo'H3808move onנָסַ֔עna.Sa'H5265untilעַד־'ad-H5704sheמִרְיָֽם׃mir.YamH4813was brought in againהֵאָסֵ֖ףhe.'a.SefH622.

16After thatוְאַחַ֛רve.'a.CharH310,the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971set outנָסְע֥וּna.se.'UH5265from Hazerothמֵחֲצֵר֑וֹתme.cha.tze.RotH2698and campedוַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּvai.ya.cha.NuH2583in the Wildernessבְּמִדְבַּ֥רbe.mid.BarH4057of Paranפָּארָֽן׃ פpa.RanH6290.
