1Then Miriamמִרְיָ֤םmir.YamH4813and Aaronוְאַהֲרֹן֙ve.'a.ha.RonH175spokeוַתְּדַבֵּ֨רva.te.da.BerH1696against Mosesבְּמֹשֶׁ֔הbe.mo.ShehH4872becauseעַל־ אֹד֛וֹת'al- 'o.DotH5921 H182of the CushiteH3571womanהָאִשָּׁ֥הha.'i.ShahH802whomאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834he had marriedלָקָ֑חla.KachH3947(for he had marriedלָקָֽח׃la.KachH3947aCushiteH3571womanאִשָּׁ֥ה'i.ShahH802);

2and they saidוַיֹּאמְר֗וּvai.yo.me.RuH559, “Has the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068indeedH389spokenדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696onlyאַךְ־'akh-H7534 H389through Mosesבְּמֹשֶׁה֙be.mo.ShehH4872?Has He not spokenדִבֵּ֑רdi.BerH1696through us as wellגַּם־gam-H1571?”And the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068heardוַיִּשְׁמַ֖עvai.yish.Ma'H8085it.

3(Now the manוְהָאִ֥ישׁve.ha.'IshH376Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872wasveryמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966humbleעָנָ֣יוa.navH6035,moreH4480thanH4480anyמִכֹּל֙mi.KolH3605manהָֽאָדָ֔םha.'a.DamH120whoאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834was on the faceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440of the earthהָאֲדָמָֽה׃ סha.'a.da.MahH127.)

4Suddenlyפִּתְאֹ֗םpit.'OmH6597the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֤הmo.ShehH4872and Aaronאַהֲרֹן֙'a.ha.RonH175and to Miriamמִרְיָ֔םmir.YamH4813, “You threeשְׁלָשְׁתְּכֶ֖םshe.la.she.te.KhemH7969comeצְא֥וּtze.'UH3318out to the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150.”So the threeשְׁלָשְׁתָּֽם׃she.la.she.TamH7969of them cameוַיֵּצְא֖וּvai.ye.tze.'UH3318out.

5Then the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068cameH3381downוַיֵּ֤רֶדvai.Ye.redH3381in a pillarבְּעַמּ֣וּדbe.'a.MudH5982of cloudעָנָ֔ן'a.NanH6051and stoodוַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975at the doorwayפֶּ֣תַחPe.tachH6607of the tentהָאֹ֑הֶלha.'O.helH168,and He calledוַיִּקְרָא֙vai.yik.Ra'H7121Aaronאַהֲרֹ֣ן'a.ha.RonH175and Miriamוּמִרְיָ֔םu.mir.YamH4813.When they had bothשְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃she.nei.HemH8147comeH3318forwardH3318,

6He saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Hearשִׁמְעוּ־shim.'u-H8085nowנָ֣אna'H4994My wordsדְבָרָ֑יde.va.RaiH1697:Ifאִם־'im-H518there is a prophetנְבִ֣יאֲכֶ֔םne.Vi.'a.KhemH5030among you,I, the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,shall makeאֶתְוַדָּ֔ע'et.va.Da'H3045Myself knownH3045to him in avisionבַּמַּרְאָה֙ba.mar.'AhH4759.I shall speakאֲדַבֶּר־'a.da.ber-H1696with him in adreamבַּחֲל֖וֹםba.cha.LomH2472.

7Not soכֵ֖ןkhenH3651, withMy servantעַבְדִּ֣י'av.DiH5650Mosesמֹשֶׁ֑הmo.ShehH4872,He is faithfulנֶאֱמָ֥ןne.'e.ManH539in allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605My householdבֵּיתִ֖יbei.TiH1004;

8With him I speakאֲדַבֶּר־'a.da.ber-H1696mouthפֶּ֣הpehH6310to mouthפֶּ֞הpehH6310,Even openlyוּמַרְאֶה֙u.mar.'EhH4758,and not in darkH2420sayingsH2420,And he beholdsיַבִּ֑יטya.BitH5027the formוּתְמֻנַ֥תu.te.mu.NatH8544of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068.Whyוּמַדּ֙וּעַ֙u.ma.Du.a'H4069then were you not afraidיְרֵאתֶ֔םye.re.TemH3372To speakלְדַבֵּ֖רle.da.BerH1696against My servantבְּעַבְדִּ֥יbe.'av.DiH5650,against Mosesבְמֹשֶֽׁה׃ve.mo.ShehH4872?”

9So the angerאַ֧ף'afH639of the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068burnedוַיִּֽחַרvai.Yi.charH2734against them andHe departedוַיֵּלַֽךְ׃vai.ye.LakhH1980.

10But when the cloudוְהֶעָנָ֗ןve.he.'a.NanH6051had withdrawnסָ֚רsarH5493from overמֵעַ֣לme.'AlH5921the tentהָאֹ֔הֶלha.'O.helH168,beholdוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009,Miriamמִרְיָ֖םmir.YamH4813wasleprousמְצֹרַ֣עַתme.tzo.Ra.'atH6879, as white assnowכַּשָּׁ֑לֶגka.Sha.legH7950.As Aaronאַהֲרֹ֛ן'a.ha.RonH175turnedוַיִּ֧פֶןvai.Yi.fenH6437towardאֶל־'el-H413Miriamמִרְיָ֖םmir.YamH4813,beholdוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009, she wasleprousמְצֹרָֽעַת׃me.tzo.Ra.'atH6879.

11Then Aaronאַהֲרֹ֖ן'a.ha.RonH175saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֑הmo.ShehH4872, “OhH994,my lordאֲדֹנִ֔י'a.do.NiH113,I begH994you,do not accountתָשֵׁ֤תta.ShetH7896thissinחַטָּ֔אתcha.TatH2403to us, in whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834we have actedH2973foolishlyנוֹאַ֖לְנוּno.'Al.nuH2973and in whichוַאֲשֶׁ֥רva.'a.SherH834we have sinnedחָטָֽאנוּ׃cha.Ta.nuH2398.

12Ohנָ֥אna'H4994,do not let her be like one deadכַּמֵּ֑תka.MetH4191,whoseאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834fleshבְשָׂרֽוֹ׃ve.sa.RoH1320is halfחֲצִ֥יcha.TziH2677eatenוַיֵּאָכֵ֖לvai.ye.'a.KhelH398away when he comesבְּצֵאתוֹ֙be.tze.ToH3318from his mother’sאִמּ֔וֹ'i.MoH517wombמֵרֶ֣חֶםme.Re.chemH7358!”

13Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872criedוַיִּצְעַ֣קvai.yitz.'AkH6817out to the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “O Godאֵ֕ל'elH410,healרְפָ֥אre.Fa'H7495her, I prayH4994!”

14But the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֗הmo.ShehH4872, “If her fatherוְאָבִ֙יהָ֙ve.'a.Vi.haH1had butspitH3417in her faceבְּפָנֶ֔יהָbe.fa.Nei.haH6440,would she not bearH3637her shameתִכָּלֵ֖םti.ka.LemH3637for sevenשִׁבְעַ֣תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִ֑יםya.MimH3117?Let her be shutתִּסָּגֵ֞רti.sa.GerH5462up for sevenשִׁבְעַ֤תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִים֙ya.MimH3117outsideמִח֣וּץmi.ChutzH4480 H2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔הla.ma.cha.NehH4264,and afterwardוְאַחַ֖רve.'a.CharH310she may be receivedתֵּאָסֵֽף׃te.'a.SefH622again.”

15SoMiriamמִרְיָ֛םmir.YamH4813was shutוַתִּסָּגֵ֥רva.ti.sa.GerH5462up outsideמִח֥וּץmi.ChutzH4480 H2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖הla.ma.cha.NehH4264for sevenשִׁבְעַ֣תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִ֑יםya.MimH3117,and the peopleוְהָעָם֙ve.ha.'AmH5971did not moveנָסַ֔עna.Sa'H5265on untilעַד־'ad-H5704Miriamמִרְיָֽם׃mir.YamH4813was receivedהֵאָסֵ֖ףhe.'a.SefH622again.

16Afterwardוְאַחַ֛רve.'a.CharH310,however, the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971movedנָסְע֥וּna.se.'UH5265out from Hazerothמֵחֲצֵר֑וֹתme.cha.tze.RotH2698and campedוַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּvai.ya.cha.NuH2583in the wildernessבְּמִדְבַּ֥רbe.mid.BarH4057of Paranפָּארָֽן׃ פpa.RanH6290.
