Numbers 12
1Then MiriamH4813 and AaronH175 criticizedH1696 MosesH4872 because ofH5921H182 the CushiteH3569 womanH802 he had marriedH3947, forH3588 he had takenH3947 a CushiteH3569 wifeH802. 2“Does the LORDH3068 speakH1696 onlyH7535H389 through MosesH4872?” they saidH559. “Does He notH3808 alsoH1571 speakH1696 through us?” And the LORDH3068 heard thisH8085.
3Now MosesH4872 was a veryH3966 humbleH6035 manH376, more so than anyH3605 manH120 onH5921 the faceH6440 of the earthH127.
4And suddenlyH6597 the LORDH3068 saidH559 toH413 MosesH4872, AaronH175H413, and MiriamH4813, “You threeH7969, come outH3318 toH413 the TentH168 of MeetingH4150.” So the threeH7969 went outH3318, 5and the LORDH3068 came downH3381 in a pillarH5982 of cloudH6051, stoodH5975 at the entranceH6607 to the TentH168, and summonedH7121 AaronH175 and MiriamH4813. When bothH8147 of them had stepped forwardH3318, 6He saidH559, “HearH8085 nowH4994 My wordsH1697:
Why thenH4069 were you unafraidH3808H3372 to speakH1696 against My servantH5650 MosesH4872?” 9So the angerH639 of the LORDH3068 burnedH2734 against them, and He departedH1980.
10As the cloudH6051 liftedH5493 from aboveH5921 the TentH168, suddenlyH2009 MiriamH4813 became leprousH6879,2 white as snowH7950. AaronH175 turnedH6437 towardH413 herH4813, saw thatH2009 she was leprousH6879, 11and saidH559H175 toH413 MosesH4872H994, “My lordH113, pleaseH4994 do notH408 holdH7896 against usH5921 this sinH2403 we have so foolishlyH2973 committedH2398. 12PleaseH4994 do notH408 let her beH1961 like a stillborn infantH4191 whoseH834 fleshH1320 is halfH2677 consumedH398 when he comes outH3318 of his mother’sH517 wombH7358.”
13So MosesH4872 cried outH6817 toH413 the LORDH3068H559, “O GodH410, pleaseH4994 healH7495 her!”
14But the LORDH3068H413 answeredH559 MosesH4872, “If her fatherH1 had but spitH3417 in her faceH6440, would she notH3808 have been in disgraceH3637 for sevenH7651 daysH3117? Let her be confinedH5462 outsideH2351 the campH4264 for sevenH7651 daysH3117; after thatH310 she may be brought back inH622.”
15So MiriamH4813 was confinedH5462 outsideH2351 the campH4264 for sevenH7651 daysH3117, and the peopleH5971 did notH3808 move onH5265 untilH5704 she was brought in againH622. 16After thatH310, the peopleH5971 set outH5265 from HazerothH2698 and campedH2583 in the WildernessH4057 of ParanH6290.
