2“Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֗ם'a.DamH120,take upשָׂ֤אsa'H5375a lamentקִינָה֙ki.NahH7015forעַל־'al-H5921Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֣הpar.'OhH6547kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714and sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559to himאֵלָ֔יו'e.LavH413: ‘You are likeנִדְמֵ֑יתָnid.Mei.taH1819a lionכְּפִ֥ירke.FirH3715among the nationsגּוֹיִ֖םgo.YimH1471;youוְאַתָּה֙ve.'a.TahH859are like a monsterH8577in the seasבַּיַּמִּ֔יםbai.ya.MimH3220.You thrash aboutוַתָּ֣גַחva.Ta.gachH1518in your riversבְּנַהֲרוֹתֶ֗יךָbe.na.ha.ro.Tei.khaH5104,churning upוַתִּדְלַח־va.tid.lach-H1804the watersמַ֙יִם֙ma.yimH4325with your feetבְּרַגְלֶ֔יךָbe.rag.Lei.khaH7272and muddyingוַתִּרְפֹּ֖סva.tir.PosH7515the streamsנַהֲרוֹתָֽם׃na.ha.ro.TamH5104.’

3This is whatכֹּ֤הkohH3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559: ‘I will spreadוּפָרַשְׂתִּ֤יu.fa.ras.TiH6566My netרִשְׁתִּ֔יrish.TiH7568over youעָלֶ֙יךָ֙'a.Lei.khaH5921אֶת־'et-H853with a companyבִּקְהַ֖לbik.HalH6951of manyרַבִּ֑יםra.BimH7227peoplesעַמִּ֣ים'a.MimH5971,and they will draw you upוְהֶעֱל֖וּךָve.he.'e.Lu.khaH5927in My netבְּחֶרְמִֽי׃be.cher.MiH2764.

4I will abandonוּנְטַשְׁתִּ֣יךָu.ne.tash.Ti.khaH5203you on the landבָאָ֔רֶץva.'A.retzH776and hurl youאֲטִילֶ֑ךָ'a.ti.Le.khaH2904intoעַל־'al-H5921the openפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֖הha.sa.DehH7704.I will cause allכָּל־kol-H3605the birdsע֣וֹףofH5775of the airהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064to settleוְהִשְׁכַּנְתִּ֤יve.hish.kan.TiH7931upon youעָלֶ֙יךָ֙'a.Lei.khaH5921,and allכָּל־kol-H3605the beastsחַיַּ֥תchai.YatH2416of the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776to eat their fillוְהִשְׂבַּעְתִּ֥יve.his.ba'.TiH7646of youמִמְּךָ֖mi.me.KhaH4480.

5I will putוְנָתַתִּ֥יve.na.ta.TiH5414אֶת־'et-H853your fleshבְּשָׂרְךָ֖be.sa.re.KhaH1320onעַל־'al-H5921the mountainsהֶֽהָרִ֑יםhe.ha.RimH2022and fillוּמִלֵּאתִ֥יu.mi.le.TiH4390the valleysהַגֵּאָי֖וֹתha.ge.'a.YotH1516with your remainsרָמוּתֶֽךָ׃ra.mu.Te.khaH7419.

6I will drenchוְהִשְׁקֵיתִ֨יve.hish.kei.TiH8248the landאֶ֧רֶץ'E.retzH776with the flowצָפָתְךָ֛tza.fa.te.KhaH6824of your bloodמִדָּמְךָ֖mi.da.me.KhaH1818,all the way toאֶל־'el-H413the mountainsהֶֽהָרִ֑יםhe.ha.RimH2022—the ravinesוַאֲפִקִ֖יםva.'a.fi.KimH650will be filledיִמָּלְא֥וּןyi.mal.'UnH4390מִמֶּֽךָּ׃mi.Me.kaH4480.

7When I extinguish youבְכַבּֽוֹתְךָ֙ve.kha.bot.KhaH3518,I will coverוְכִסֵּיתִ֤יve.khi.sei.TiH3680the heavensשָׁמַ֔יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064and darkenוְהִקְדַּרְתִּ֖יve.hik.dar.TiH6937אֶת־'et-H853their starsכֹּֽכְבֵיהֶ֑םko.khe.vei.HemH3556.I will coverאֲכַסֶּ֔נּוּ'a.kha.Se.nuH3680the sunשֶׁ֚מֶשׁShe.meshH8121with a cloudבֶּעָנָ֣ןbe.'a.NanH6051,and the moonוְיָרֵ֖חַve.ya.Re.achH3394will notלֹא־lo'-H3808give its lightיָאִ֥יר אוֹרֽוֹ׃ya.'Ir 'o.RoH215 H216.

9‘I will troubleוְהִ֨כְעַסְתִּ֔יve.Hikh.'as.TiH3707the heartsלֵ֖בlevH3820of manyרַבִּ֑יםra.BimH7227peoplesעַמִּ֣ים'a.MimH5971,when I bring aboutבַּהֲבִיאִ֤יba.ha.vi.'IH935your destructionשִׁבְרְךָ֙shiv.re.KhaH7667among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֔םba.go.YimH1471,inעַל־'al-H5921countriesאֲרָצ֖וֹת'a.ra.TzotH776אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you do notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808knowיְדַעְתָּֽם׃ye.da'.TamH3045.

10I will cause manyרַבִּ֗יםra.BimH7227peoplesעַמִּ֣ים'a.MimH5971to be appalledוַהֲשִׁמּוֹתִ֨יva.ha.shi.mo.TiH8074over youעָלֶ֜יךָ'a.Lei.khaH5921,and their kingsוּמַלְכֵיהֶם֙u.mal.khei.HemH4428will shudder in horrorיִשְׂעֲר֤וּ שַׂ֔עַרyis.'a.Ru Sa.'arH8175 H8178because of youעָלֶ֙יךָ֙'a.Lei.khaH5921when I brandishבְּעוֹפְפִ֥יbe.'o.FiH5774My swordחַרְבִּ֖יchar.BiH2719beforeעַל־'al-H5921themפְּנֵיהֶ֑םpe.nei.HemH6440.On the dayבְּי֖וֹםbe.YomH3117of your downfallמַפַּלְתֶּֽךָ׃ סma.pal.Te.khaH4658each of themאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376will trembleוְחָרְד֤וּve.cha.re.DuH2729every momentלִרְגָעִים֙lir.ga.'ImH7281for his lifeלְנַפְשׁ֔וֹle.naf.ShoH5315.’

12I will make your hordesהֲמוֹנֶ֔ךָha.mo.Ne.khaH1995fallאַפִּ֣יל'a.PilH5307by the swordsבְּחַרְב֤וֹתbe.char.VotH2719of the mightyגִּבּוֹרִים֙gi.bo.RimH1368,the most ruthlessעָרִיצֵ֥י'a.ri.TzeiH6184of allכֻּלָּ֑םku.LamH3605nationsגוֹיִ֖םgo.YimH1471.They will ravageוְשָֽׁדְדוּ֙ve.sha.de.DuH7703אֶת־'et-H853the prideגְּא֣וֹןge.'onH1347of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714and allכָּל־kol-H3605her multitudesהֲמוֹנָֽהּ׃ha.mo.NahH1995will be destroyedוְנִשְׁמַ֖דve.nish.MadH8045.

13I will slaughterוְהַֽאֲבַדְתִּי֙ve.ha.'a.vad.TiH6אֶת־'et-H853allכָּל־kol-H3605her cattleבְּהֶמְתָּ֔הּbe.hem.TahH929besideמֵעַ֖לme.'AlH5921the abundantרַבִּ֑יםra.BimH7227watersמַ֣יִםMa.yimH4325.Noוְלֹ֨אve.Lo'H3808humanאָדָם֙'a.DamH120footרֶֽגֶל־re.gel-H7272will muddy themתִדְלָחֵ֤םtid.la.ChemH1804againע֔וֹדodH5750,and noלֹ֥אlo'H3808cattleבְּהֵמָ֖הbe.he.MahH929hoovesוּפַרְס֥וֹתu.far.SotH6541will disturb themתִדְלָחֵֽם׃tid.la.ChemH1804.

14Thenאָ֚ז'azH227I will let her watersמֵֽימֵיהֶ֔םmei.mei.HemH4325settleאַשְׁקִ֣יעַ'ash.Ki.a'H8257and will make her riversוְנַהֲרוֹתָ֖םve.na.ha.ro.TamH5104flowאוֹלִ֑יךְ'o.LikhH1980like oilכַּשֶּׁ֣מֶןka.She.menH8081,’declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִֽה׃Yah.wehH3069.

15‘When I makeבְּתִתִּי֩be.ti.TiH5414אֶת־'et-H853the landאֶ֨רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֜יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714a desolationשְׁמָמָ֣הshe.ma.MahH8077and emptyוּנְשַׁמָּ֗הu.ne.sha.MahH8074itאֶ֚רֶץ'E.retzH776of all that filled itמִמְּלֹאָ֔הּmi.me.lo.'AhH4393,when I strike downבְּהַכּוֹתִ֖יbe.ha.ko.TiH5221אֶת־'et-H853allכָּל־kol-H3605who liveי֣וֹשְׁבֵיYo.o.she.veiH3427there,then they will knowוְיָדְע֖וּve.ya.de.'UH3045thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588Iאֲנִ֥י'a.NiH589am the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.’
