1Again the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068cameוַיְהִ֥יvay.HiH1961to meאֵלַ֥י'e.LaiH413,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

2“Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֕ם'a.DamH120,prophesyהִנָּבֵא֙hi.na.Ve'H5012and declareוְאָ֣מַרְתָּ֔ve.'A.mar.taH559that this is whatכֹּ֥הkohH3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִ֑הYah.wehH3069saysאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559:Wailהֵילִ֖ילוּhei.Li.luH3213, ‘Alasהָ֥הּhahH1929for that dayלַיּֽוֹם׃lai.YomH3117!’

3Forכִּֽי־ki-H3588the dayי֔וֹםYomH3117isnearקָר֣וֹבka.RovH7138,the Dayי֖וֹםYomH3117of the LORDלַֽיהוָ֑הla.Yah.wehH3068is nearוְקָר֥וֹבve.ka.RovH7138.It will beיִֽהְיֶֽה׃Yih.YehH1961a dayי֣וֹםYomH3117of cloudsעָנָ֔ן'a.NanH6051,a timeעֵ֥ת'etH6256of doomfor the nationsגּוֹיִ֖םgo.YimH1471.

4A swordחֶ֙רֶב֙che.revH2719will comeוּבָאָ֥הu.va.'AhH935against Egyptבְּמִצְרַ֔יִם וְהָיְתָ֤הbe.mitz.Ra.yim ve.ha.ye.TahH4714 H1961,and there will be anguishחַלְחָלָה֙chal.cha.LahH2479in Cushבְּכ֔וּשׁbe.KhushH3568when the slainחָלָ֖לcha.LalH2491fallבִּנְפֹ֥לbin.FolH5307in Egyptבְּמִצְרָ֑יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,its wealthהֲמוֹנָ֔הּha.mo.NahH1995is taken awayוְלָקְח֣וּve.la.ke.ChuH3947,and its foundationsיְסוֹדֹתֶֽיהָ׃ye.so.do.Tei.haH3247are torn downוְנֶהֶרְס֖וּve.ne.her.SuH2040.

5Cushכּ֣וּשׁkushH3568,Putוּפ֤וּטu.FutH6316,and Ludוְלוּד֙ve.LudH3865,and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the various peoplesהָעֶ֣רֶבha.'E.revH6154,as well as Libyaוְכ֔וּבve.KhuvH3552and the menוּבְנֵ֖יu.ve.NeiH1121of the covenantהַבְּרִ֑יתha.be.RitH1285landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776,will fallיִפֹּֽלוּ׃ פyi.Po.luH5307withאִתָּ֖ם'i.TamH854Egyptby the swordבַּחֶ֥רֶבba.Che.revH2719.

6For this is whatכֹּ֚הkohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559:The alliesסֹמְכֵ֣יso.me.KheiH5564of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714will fallוְנָֽפְלוּ֙ve.na.fe.LuH5307,and her proudגְּא֣וֹןge.'onH1347strengthעֻזָּ֑הּ'u.ZahH5797will collapseוְיָרַ֖דve.ya.RadH3381.From Migdolמִמִּגְדֹּ֣לmi.mig.DolH4024to Syeneסְוֵנֵ֗הse.ve.NehH5482they will fallיִפְּלוּ־yi.pe.lu-H5307by the swordבַּחֶ֙רֶב֙ba.Che.revH2719within her,declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִֽה׃Yah.wehH3069.

7They will be desolateוְנָשַׁ֕מּוּve.na.Sha.muH8074amongבְּת֖וֹךְbe.TokhH8432desolateנְשַׁמּ֑וֹתne.sha.MotH8074landsאֲרָצ֣וֹת'a.ra.TzotH776,and their citiesוְעָרָ֕יוve.'a.RavH5892will lieתִּֽהְיֶֽינָה׃Tih.Yei.nahH1961amongבְּתוֹךְ־be.tokh-H8432ruinedנַחֲרָב֖וֹתna.cha.ra.VotH2717citiesעָרִ֥ים'a.RimH5892.

8Then they will knowוְיָדְע֖וּve.ya.de.'UH3045thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588Iאֲנִ֣י'a.NiH589am the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068when I setבְּתִתִּי־be.ti.ti-H5414fireאֵ֣שׁ'eshH784to Egyptבְּמִצְרַ֔יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714and allכָּל־kol-H3605her helpersעֹזְרֶֽיהָ׃'o.ze.Rei.haH5826are shatteredוְנִשְׁבְּר֖וּve.nish.be.RuH7665.

9On thatהַה֗וּאha.Hu'H1931dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117messengersמַלְאָכִ֤יםmal.'a.KhimH4397will go outיֵצְא֨וּye.tze.'UH3318from Meמִלְּפָנַי֙mi.le.fa.NaiH6440in shipsבַּצִּ֔יםba.TzimH6716to frightenלְהַחֲרִ֖ידle.ha.cha.RidH2729אֶת־'et-H853Cushכּ֣וּשׁkushH3568out of complacencyבֶּ֑טַחBe.tachH983.Anguishחַלְחָלָ֤הchal.cha.LahH2479will comeוְהָיְתָ֨הve.ha.ye.TahH1961upon themon the dayבְּי֣וֹםbe.YomH3117of Egypt’sמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714doom.Forכִּ֥יkiH3588it is indeedהִנֵּ֖הhi.NehH2009comingבָּאָֽה׃ סba.'AhH935.

11Heה֠וּאhu'H1931and his peopleוְעַמּ֤וֹve.'a.MoH5971with himאִתּוֹ֙'i.ToH854,the most ruthlessעָרִיצֵ֣י'a.ri.TzeiH6184of the nationsגוֹיִ֔םgo.YimH1471,will be brought inמֽוּבָאִ֖יםmu.va.'ImH935to destroyלְשַׁחֵ֣תle.sha.ChetH7843the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776.They will drawוְהֵרִ֤יקוּve.he.Ri.kuH7324their swordsחַרְבוֹתָם֙char.vo.TamH2719againstעַל־'al-H5921Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714and fillוּמָלְא֥וּu.mal.'UH4390אֶת־'et-H853the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776with the slainחָלָֽל׃cha.LalH2491.

12I will makeוְנָתַתִּ֤יve.na.ta.TiH5414the streamsיְאֹרִים֙ye.'o.RimH2975dry upחָֽרָבָ֔הcha.ra.VahH2724and sellוּמָכַרְתִּ֥יu.ma.khar.TiH4376אֶת־'et-H853the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776toבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027the wickedרָעִ֑יםra.'ImH7451.By the handsבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of foreignersזָרִ֔יםza.RimH2114I will bring desolationוַהֲשִׁמֹּתִ֞יva.ha.shi.mo.TiH8074upon the landאֶ֤רֶץ'E.retzH776and everything in itוּמְלֹאָהּ֙u.me.lo.'AhH4393.Iאֲנִ֥י'a.NiH589,the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,have spokenדִּבַּֽרְתִּי׃ סdi.Bar.tiH1696.

13This is whatכֹּֽה־koh-H3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִ֗הYah.wehH3069saysאָמַ֞ר'a.MarH559:I will destroyוְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֨יve.ha.'a.vad.TiH6the idolsגִלּוּלִ֜יםgi.lu.LimH1544and put an endוְהִשְׁבַּתִּ֤יve.hish.ba.TiH7673to the imagesאֱלִילִים֙'e.li.LimH457in Memphisמִנֹּ֔ףmi.NofH5297.There will noלֹ֣אlo'H3808longerע֑וֹדodH5750beיִֽהְיֶה־yih.yeh-H1961a princeוְנָשִׂ֥יאve.na.Si'H5387in Egyptמֵאֶֽרֶץ־ מִצְרַ֖יִםme.'e.retz- mitz.Ra.yimH776 H4714,and I will instillוְנָתַתִּ֥יve.na.ta.TiH5414fearיִרְאָ֖הyir.'AhH3374in that landבְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃be.'E.retz mitz.Ra.yimH776 H4714.

14I will lay wasteוַהֲשִׁמֹּתִי֙va.ha.shi.mo.TiH8074Pathrosפַּתְר֔וֹסpat.RosH6624אֶת־'et-H853,setוְנָתַ֥תִּיve.na.Ta.tiH5414fireאֵ֖שׁ'eshH784to Zoanבְּצֹ֑עַןbe.Tzo.'anH6814,and executeוְעָשִׂ֥יתִיve.'a.Si.tiH6213judgmentשְׁפָטִ֖יםshe.fa.TimH8201on Thebesבְּנֹֽא׃be.No'H4996.

15I will pour outוְשָׁפַכְתִּ֣יve.sha.fakh.TiH8210My wrathחֲמָתִ֔יcha.ma.TiH2534onעַל־'al-H5921Pelusiumסִ֖יןsinH5512,the strongholdמָע֣וֹזma.'ozH4581of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,and cut offוְהִכְרַתִּ֖יve.hikh.ra.TiH3772אֶת־'et-H853the crowdsהֲמ֥וֹןha.MonH1995of Thebesנֹֽא׃No'H4996.

16I will setוְנָתַ֤תִּיve.na.Ta.tiH5414fireאֵשׁ֙'eshH784to Egyptבְּמִצְרַ֔יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,Pelusiumסִ֔יןSinH5512will writhe in anguishH2342,Thebesוְנֹ֖אve.No'H4996will beתִּהְיֶ֣הtih.YehH1961split openלְהִבָּקֵ֑עַle.hi.ba.Ke.a'H1234,and Memphisוְנֹ֖ףve.NofH5297will facedailyיוֹמָֽם׃yo.MamH3119distressצָרֵ֥יtza.Rei-H6862.

17The young menבַּח֥וּרֵיba.Chu.reiH970of Onאָ֛וֶן'A.venH204and Pi-besethH6364will fallיִפֹּ֑לוּyi.Po.luH5307by the swordבַּחֶ֣רֶבba.Che.revH2719,and thoseוְהֵ֖נָּהve.He.nahH2007citieswill goתֵלַֽכְנָה׃te.Lakh.nahH1980into captivityבַּשְּׁבִ֥יba.she.ViH7628.

18The dayהַיּ֔וֹםhai.YomH3117will be darkenedחָשַׂ֣ךְcha.SakhH2820in Tahpanhesוּבִֽתְחַפְנְחֵס֙u.vit.chaf.ne.ChesH8471when I breakבְּשִׁבְרִי־be.shiv.ri-H7665שָׁם֙shamH8033אֶת־'et-H853the yokeמֹט֣וֹתmo.TotH4133of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714andher proudגְּא֣וֹןge.'onH1347strengthעֻזָּ֑הּ הִ֚יא'u.Zah hi'H5797 H1931comes to an endוְנִשְׁבַּת־ve.nish.bat-H7673.A cloudעָנָ֣ן'a.NanH6051will cover herיְכַסֶּ֔נָּהye.kha.Se.nahH3680,and her daughtersוּבְנוֹתֶ֖יהָu.ve.no.Tei.haH1323will goתֵלַֽכְנָה׃te.Lakh.nahH1980into captivityבַּשְּׁבִ֥יba.she.ViH7628.
