2“As for youוְאַתָּ֣הve.'a.TahH859,sonבֶן־ven-H1121of manאָדָ֔ם'a.DamH120,will you judge herהֲתִשְׁפֹּ֥טha.tish.PotH8199?Will you pass judgmentהֲתִשְׁפֹּ֖טha.tish.PotH8199אֶת־'et-H853on the cityעִ֣יר'irH5892of bloodshedהַדָּמִ֑יםha.da.MimH1818?Then confront herוְה֣וֹדַעְתָּ֔הּve.Ho.da'.TahH3045אֵ֖ת'etH853with allכָּל־kol-H3605her abominationsתּוֹעֲבוֹתֶֽיהָ׃to.'a.vo.Tei.haH8441

3and tell herוְאָמַרְתָּ֗ve.'a.mar.TaH559that this is whatכֹּ֤הkohH3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559: ‘O cityעִ֣יר'irH5892who brings her own doomלָב֣וֹא עִתָּ֑הּla.Vo' 'i.TahH6256 H935by sheddingשֹׁפֶ֥כֶתsho.Fe.khetH8210bloodדָּ֛םdamH1818within her wallsבְּתוֹכָ֖הּbe.to.KhahH8432and makingוְעָשְׂתָ֧הve.'a.se.TahH6213idolsגִלּוּלִ֛יםgi.lu.LimH1544to defile herselfעָלֶ֖יהָ לְטָמְאָֽה׃'a.Lei.ha le.ta.me.'AhH5921 H2930,

5Those nearהַקְּרֹב֛וֹתha.ke.ro.VotH7138and farוְהָרְחֹק֥וֹתve.ha.re.cho.KotH7350מִמֵּ֖ךְmi.MekhH4480will mockיִתְקַלְּסוּ־yit.ka.le.su-H7046you,O infamousטְמֵאַ֣ת הַשֵּׁ֔םte.me.'At ha.ShemH2931 H8034city,fullרַבַּ֖תra.BatH7227of turmoilהַמְּהוּמָֽה׃ha.me.hu.MahH4103.

6See howהִנֵּה֙hi.NehH2009everyאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376princeנְשִׂיאֵ֣יne.si.'EiH5387of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478within youhas usedהָ֣יוּHa.yuH1961his powerלִזְרֹע֖וֹliz.ro.'OH2220toלְמַ֖עַןle.Ma.'anH4616shedשְׁפָךְ־she.fokh-H8210bloodדָּֽם׃DamH1818.

7Fatherאָ֤ב'avH1and motherוָאֵם֙va.'EmH517are treated with contemptהֵקַ֣לּוּhe.Ka.luH7043. Within your wallsthe foreign residentלַגֵּ֛רla.GerH1616is exploitedעָשׂ֥וּ בַעֹ֖שֶׁק'a.Su va.'O.shekH6213 H6233בְּתוֹכֵ֑ךְbe.to.KhekhH8432,the fatherlessיָת֥וֹםya.TomH3490and the widowוְאַלְמָנָ֖הve.'al.ma.NahH490are oppressedה֥וֹנוּHo.nuH3238.

9Among youareהָ֥יוּHa.yuH1961slanderousרָכִ֛ילra.KhilH7400menאַנְשֵׁ֥י'an.SheiH582bent onלְמַ֣עַןle.Ma.'anH4616שְׁפָךְ־she.fokh-H8210bloodshedדָּ֑םDamH1818; within youare those who eatאָ֣כְלוּ'A.khe.luH398onוְאֶל־ve.'el-H413the mountainהֶֽהָרִים֙he.ha.RimH2022shrinesand commitעָשׂ֥וּ'a.SuH6213acts of indecencyזִמָּ֖הzi.MahH2154בְתוֹכֵֽךְ׃ve.to.KhekhH8432.

10In youthey have uncoveredגִּלָּה־gi.lah-H1540the nakednessעֶרְוַת־'er.vat-H6172of their fathersאָ֖ב'avH1; in youthey violateעִנּוּ־'i.nu-H6031women during their menstrual impurityטְמֵאַ֥ת הַנִּדָּ֖הte.me.'At ha.ni.DahH2931 H5079.

13Now lookוְהִנֵּה֙ve.hi.NehH2009,I strikeהִכֵּ֣יתִיhi.Kei.tiH5221My handsכַפִּ֔יkha.PiH3709together againstאֶל־'el-H413your unjust gainבִּצְעֵ֖ךְbitz.'EkhH1215אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834עָשִׂ֑ית'a.SitH6213and againstוְעַ֨ל־ve.'Al-H5921the blood you have shedדָּמֵ֔ךְda.MekhH1818אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834הָי֖וּha.YuH1961in your midstבְּתוֹכֵֽךְ׃be.to.KhekhH8432.

14Will your courageלִבֵּךְ֙li.beKhH3820endureהֲיַעֲמֹ֤דha.ya.'a.ModH5975orאִם־'im-H518your handsיָדַ֔יִךְya.Da.yikhH3027be strongתֶּחֱזַ֣קְנָהte.che.Zak.nahH2388in the dayלַיָּמִ֕יםlai.ya.MimH3117אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834Iאֲנִ֖י'a.NiH589dealעֹשֶׂ֣ה'o.SehH6213with youאוֹתָ֑ךְ'o.TakhH854?Iאֲנִ֥י'a.NiH589,the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,have spokenדִּבַּ֥רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696,and I will actוְעָשִֽׂיתִי׃ve.'a.Si.tiH6213.

15I will disperseוַהֲפִיצוֹתִ֤יva.ha.fi.tzo.TiH6327אוֹתָךְ֙'o.toKhH853you among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֔םba.go.YimH1471and scatter youוְזֵרִיתִ֖יךְve.ze.ri.TikhH2219throughout the landsבָּאֲרָצ֑וֹתba.'a.ra.TzotH776;I will purgeוַהֲתִמֹּתִ֥יva.ha.ti.mo.TiH8552your uncleannessטֻמְאָתֵ֖ךְ מִמֵּֽךְ׃tum.'a.Tekh mi.MekhH2932 H4480.

16And when you have defiledוְנִחַ֥לְתְּve.ni.ChaltH2490yourselfin the eyesלְעֵינֵ֣יle.'ei.NeiH5869of the nationsגוֹיִ֑םgo.YimH1471,then you will knowוְיָדַ֖עַתְּve.ya.Da.'atH3045thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588Iאֲנִ֥י'a.NiH589am the LORDיְהוָֽה׃ פYah.wehH3068.’”

21Yes, I will gather you togetherוְכִנַּסְתִּ֣יve.khi.nas.TiH3664אֶתְכֶ֔ם'et.KhemH853and blowוְנָפַחְתִּ֥יve.na.fach.TiH5301on youעֲלֵיכֶ֖ם'a.lei.KhemH5921with the fireבְּאֵ֣שׁbe.'EshH784of My wrathעֶבְרָתִ֑י'ev.ra.TiH5678,and you will be meltedוְנִתַּכְתֶּ֖םve.ni.takh.TemH5413within the cityבְּתוֹכָֽהּ׃be.to.KhahH8432.

22As silverכֶּ֙סֶף֙ke.sefH3701is meltedכְּהִתּ֥וּךְke.hi.TukhH2046inבְּת֣וֹךְbe.TokhH8432a furnaceכּ֔וּרKurH3564,soכֵּ֖ןkenH3651you will be meltedתֻּתְּכ֣וּtu.te.KhuH5413within the cityבְתוֹכָ֑הּve.to.KhahH8432.Then you will knowוִֽידַעְתֶּם֙vi.da'.TemH3045thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588Iאֲנִ֣י'a.NiH589,the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,have poured outשָׁפַ֥כְתִּיsha.Fakh.tiH8210My wrathחֲמָתִ֖יcha.ma.TiH2534upon youעֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ פ'a.lei.KhemH5921.’”
