15Forכִּ֤יkiH3588by this timeעַתָּה֙'a.TahH6258I could have stretched outשָׁלַ֣חְתִּיsha.Lach.tiH7971אֶת־'et-H853My handיָדִ֔יya.DiH3027and struckוָאַ֥ךְva.'AkhH5221youאוֹתְךָ֛'ot.KhaH853andוְאֶֽת־ve.'EtH853your peopleעַמְּךָ֖'a.me.KhaH5971with a plagueבַּדָּ֑בֶרba.Da.verH1698to wipe youוַתִּכָּחֵ֖דva.ti.ka.ChedH3582offמִן־min-H4480the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

16Butוְאוּלָ֗םve.'u.LamH199I have raised you upהֶעֱמַדְתִּ֔יךָhe.'e.mad.Ti.khaH5975for this very purposeבַּעֲב֥וּר זֹאת֙ba.'a.Vur zoTH2063 H5668,thatבַּעֲב֖וּרba.'a.VurH5668I might displayהַרְאֹתְךָ֣har.'o.te.KhaH7200My powerכֹּחִ֑יko.ChiH3581to youאֶת־'et-H853,and thatוּלְמַ֛עַןu.le.Ma.'anH4616My nameשְׁמִ֖יshe.MiH8034might be proclaimedסַפֵּ֥רsa.PerH5608in allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

17Stillעוֹדְךָ֖'od.KhaH5750,you lord itמִסְתּוֹלֵ֣לmis.to.LelH5549over My peopleבְּעַמִּ֑יbe.'a.MiH5971and do notלְבִלְתִּ֖יle.vil.TiH1115allow them to goשַׁלְּחָֽם׃sha.le.ChamH7971.

18Beholdהִנְנִ֤יhi.NiH2005,at this timeכָּעֵ֣תka.'EtH6256tomorrowמָחָ֔רma.CharH4279I will rain downמַמְטִיר֙mam.TirH4305the worstכָּבֵ֣ד מְאֹ֑דka.Ved me.'OdH3515 H3966hailבָּרָ֖דba.RadH1259thatאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834has everלֹא־lo'-H3808fallenהָיָ֤ה כָמֹ֙הוּ֙ha.Yah kha.Mo.huH1961 H3644on Egyptבְּמִצְרַ֔יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,fromלְמִן־le.min-H4480the dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117it was foundedהִוָּסְדָ֖הhi.va.se.DahH3245untilוְעַד־ve.'ad-H5704nowעָֽתָּה׃'A.tahH6258.

19Soוְעַתָּ֗הve.'a.TahH6258give orders nowשְׁלַ֤חshe.LachH7971to shelterהָעֵז֙ha.'EzH5756אֶֽת־'et-H853your livestockמִקְנְךָ֔mik.ne.ChaH4735וְאֵ֛תve.'EtH853and everythingכָּל־kol-H3605אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834youhave in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶ֑הba.sa.DehH7704.Everyכָּל־kol-H3605manהָאָדָ֨םha.'a.DamH120or beastוְהַבְּהֵמָ֜הve.ha.be.he.MahH929thatאֲשֶֽׁר־'a.Sher-H834remainsיִמָּצֵ֣אyi.ma.Tze'H4672in the fieldבַשָּׂדֶ֗הva.sa.DehH7704and is notוְלֹ֤אve.Lo'H3808broughtיֵֽאָסֵף֙ye.'a.SefH622insideהַבַּ֔יְתָהha.Bay.tahH1004will dieוָמֵֽתוּ׃va.Me.tuH4191when the hailהַבָּרָ֖דha.ba.RadH1259comes downוְיָרַ֧דve.ya.RadH3381upon themעֲלֵהֶ֛ם'a.le.HemH5921.’”

20Those among Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֑הpar.'OhH6547officialsמֵֽעַבְדֵ֖יme.'av.DeiH5650who fearedהַיָּרֵא֙hai.ya.Re'H3373אֶת־'et-H853the wordדְּבַ֣רde.VarH1697of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068hurried to bringהֵנִ֛יסhe.NisH5127their servantsעֲבָדָ֥יו'a.va.DavH5650אֶת־'et-H853and livestockמִקְנֵ֖הוּmik.Ne.huH4735וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853toאֶל־'el-H413shelterהַבָּתִּֽים׃ha.ba.TimH1004,

21but those whoוַאֲשֶׁ֥רva.'a.SherH834disregardedלֹא־ שָׂ֛םlo'- samH3808 H7760the wordלִבּ֖וֹ דְּבַ֣רli.Bo de.VarH1697 H3820of the LORDאֶל־ יְהוָ֑ה'el- Yah.wehH3068 H413leftוַֽיַּעֲזֹ֛בvai.ya.'a.ZoH5800אֶת־'et-H853their servantsעֲבָדָ֥יו'a.va.DavH5650וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853and livestockמִקְנֵ֖הוּmik.Ne.huH4735in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶֽה׃ פba.sa.DehH7704.

22Then the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Mosesמֹשֶׁהmo.shehH4872, “Stretch outנְטֵ֤הne.TehH5186אֶת־'et-H853your handיָֽדְךָ֙ya.de.KhaH3027towardעַל־'al-H5921heavenהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,so that hailבָרָ֖דva.RadH1259may fallוִיהִ֥יvi.HiH1961on allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714—onעַל־'al-H5921manהָאָדָ֣ם וְעַל־ha.'a.Dam ve.'al-H120 H5921and beastהַבְּהֵמָ֗ה וְעַ֛לha.be.he.Mah ve.'AlH929 H5921and everyכָּל־kol-H3605plantעֵ֥שֶׂב'E.sevH6212of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֖הha.sa.DehH7704throughout the landבְּאֶ֥רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.”

23So Mosesמֹשֶׁ֣הmo.ShehH4872אֶת־'et-H853stretched outוַיֵּ֨טvai.YetH5186his staffמַטֵּהוּ֮ma.te.HuH4294towardעַל־'al-H5921heavenהַשָּׁמַיִם֒ha.sha.ma.YimH8064,and the LORDוַֽיהוָ֗הva.Yah.wehH3068sentנָתַ֤ןna.TanH5414thunderקֹלֹת֙ko.LotH6963and hailוּבָרָ֔דu.va.RadH1259,and lightningאֵ֖שׁ'eshH784struckוַתִּ֥הֲלַךְva.Ti.ha.lakhH1980the earthאָ֑רְצָה'A.re.tzahH776.So the LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068rained downוַיַּמְטֵ֧רvai.yam.TerH4305hailבָּרָ֖דba.RadH1259uponעַל־'al-H5921the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

24The hailבָרָ֔דva.RadH1259fellוַיְהִ֣יvay.HiH1961and the lightningוְאֵ֕שׁve.'EshH784continued flashingמִתְלַקַּ֖חַתmit.la.Ka.chatH3947through itבְּת֣וֹךְbe.TokhH8432.The hailהַבָּרָ֑דha.ba.RadH1259was soמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966severeכָּבֵ֣דka.VedH3515thatאֲ֠שֶׁר'a.SherH834nothingלֹֽא־lo'-H3808like itכָמֹ֙הוּ֙kha.Mo.huH3644had ever beenהָיָ֤הha.YahH1961seenin allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714from the timeמֵאָ֖זme.'AzH227it becameהָיְתָ֥הha.ye.TahH1961a nationלְגֽוֹי׃le.GoyH1471.

25Throughoutבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֗יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714אֵ֚ת'etH853,the hailהַבָּרָ֜דha.ba.RadH1259struck downוַיַּ֨ךְvai.YakhH5221everythingכָּל־kol-H3605אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶ֔הba.sa.DehH7704,both manמֵאָדָ֖םme.'a.DamH120andוְעַד־ve.'ad-H5704beastבְּהֵמָ֑הbe.he.MahH929וְאֵ֨תve.'EtH853; itהַבָּרָ֔דha.ba.RadH1259וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853beat downהִכָּ֣הhi.KahH5221everyכָּל־kol-H3605plantעֵ֤שֶׂב'E.sevH6212of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶה֙ha.sa.DehH7704and strippedשִׁבֵּֽר׃shi.BerH7665everyכָּל־kol-H3605treeעֵ֥ץ הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה'etz ha.sa.DehH6086 H7704.

26The onlyרַ֚קrakH7535place where it did notלֹ֥אlo'H3808hailבָּרָֽד׃ba.RadH1259wasהָיָ֖הha.YahH1961in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Goshenגֹּ֔שֶׁןGo.shenH1657,whereאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Israelitesבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑לbe.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478livedשָׁ֖םshamH8033.

27Then Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֗הpar.'OhH6547summonedוַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח וַיִּקְרָא֙vai.yish.Lach vai.yik.Ra'H7971 H7121Mosesלְמֹשֶׁ֣הle.mo.ShehH4872and Aaronוּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֔ןu.le.'a.ha.RonH175. “This timeהַפָּ֑עַםha.Pa.'amH6471I have sinnedחָטָ֣אתִיcha.Ta.tiH2398,”he saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֖םvai.Yo.mer 'a.le.HemH559 H413. “The LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068isrighteousהַצַּדִּ֔יקha.tza.DikH6662,and Iוַאֲנִ֥יva.'a.NiH589and my peopleוְעַמִּ֖יve.'a.MiH5971arewickedהָרְשָׁעִֽים׃ha.re.sha.'ImH7563.

28Prayהַעְתִּ֙ירוּ֙ha'.Ti.ruH6279toאֶל־'el-H413the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,for there has beenמִֽהְיֹ֛תmih.YotH1961enoughוְרַ֕בve.RavH7227of God’sאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430thunderקֹלֹ֥תko.LotH6963and hailוּבָרָ֑דu.va.RadH1259.I will let you goוַאֲשַׁלְּחָ֣הva.'a.sha.le.ChahH7971אֶתְכֶ֔ם'et.KhemH853;you do notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808need to stayלַעֲמֹֽד׃la.'a.ModH5975any longerתֹסִפ֖וּןto.si.FunH3254.”

29Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to himאֵלָיו֙'e.LavH413, “When I have leftכְּצֵאתִי֙ke.tze.TiH3318אֶת־'et-H853the cityהָעִ֔ירha.'IrH5892,I will spread outאֶפְרֹ֥שׂ'ef.RosH6566אֶת־'et-H853my handsכַּפַּ֖יka.PaiH3709toאֶל־'el-H413the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068.The thunderהַקֹּל֣וֹתha.ko.LotH6963will ceaseיֶחְדָּל֗וּןyech.da.LunH2308,and there will beיִֽהְיֶה־yih.yeh-H1961noלֹ֣אlo'H3808moreע֔וֹדodH5750hailוְהַבָּרָד֙ve.ha.ba.RadH1259,so thatלְמַ֣עַןle.Ma.'anH4616you may knowתֵּדַ֔עte.Da'H3045thatכִּ֥יkiH3588the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776isthe LORD’sלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068.

30But as for youוְאַתָּ֖הve.'a.TahH859and your officialsוַעֲבָדֶ֑יךָva.'a.va.Dei.khaH5650,I knowיָדַ֕עְתִּיya.Da'.tiH3045thatכִּ֚יkiH3588you still do notטֶ֣רֶםTe.remH2962fearתִּֽירְא֔וּן מִפְּנֵ֖יtir.'Un mi.pe.NeiH3372 H6440the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהִֽים׃'E.lo.HimH430.”

31(Now the flaxוְהַפִּשְׁתָּ֥הve.ha.pish.TahH6594and barleyוְהַשְּׂעֹרָ֖הve.ha.se.'o.RahH8184were destroyedנֻכָּ֑תָהnu.Ka.tahH5221,sinceכִּ֤יkiH3588the barleyהַשְּׂעֹרָה֙ אָבִ֔יבha.se.'o.Rah 'a.VivH8184 H24was ripe and the flaxוְהַפִּשְׁתָּ֖הve.ha.pish.TahH6594wasin bloomגִּבְעֹֽל׃giv.'OlH1392;

32but the wheatוְהַחִטָּ֥הve.ha.chi.TahH2406and speltוְהַכֻּסֶּ֖מֶתve.hak.ku.Se.metH3698were notלֹ֣אlo'H3808destroyedנֻכּ֑וּnu.KuH5221,becauseכִּ֥יkiH3588theyהֵֽנָּה׃He.nahH2007are late cropsאֲפִילֹ֖ת'a.fi.LotH648.)

33Then Mosesמֹשֶׁ֜הmo.ShehH4872departedוַיֵּצֵ֨אvai.ye.Tze'H3318fromמֵעִ֤םme.'ImH5973Pharaohפַּרְעֹה֙par.'OhH6547אֶת־'et-H853, wentout of the cityהָעִ֔ירha.'IrH5892,and spread outוַיִּפְרֹ֥שׂvai.yif.RosH6566his handsכַּפָּ֖יוka.PavH3709toאֶל־'el-H413the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068.The thunderהַקֹּלוֹת֙ha.ko.lOtH6963and hailוְהַבָּרָ֔דve.ha.ba.RadH1259ceasedוַֽיַּחְדְּל֤וּvai.yach.de.LuH2308,and the rainוּמָטָ֖רu.ma.TarH4306no longerלֹא־lo'-H3808poured downנִתַּ֥ךְni.TakhH5413on the landאָֽרְצָה׃'A.re.tzahH776.

34When Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֗הpar.'OhH6547sawוַיַּ֣רְאvai.Yar'H7200thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588the rainהַמָּטָ֧רha.ma.TarH4306and hailוְהַבָּרָ֛דve.ha.ba.RadH1259and thunderוְהַקֹּלֹ֖תve.ha.ko.LotH6963had ceasedחָדַ֨לcha.DalH2308,he sinnedלַחֲטֹ֑אla.cha.To'H2398againוַיֹּ֣סֶףvai.Yo.sefH3254and hardenedוַיַּכְבֵּ֥דvai.yakh.BedH3513his heartלִבּ֖וֹli.BoH3820—heה֥וּאhu'H1931and his officialsוַעֲבָדָֽיו׃va.'a.va.DavH5650.
