22“Do notאַל־'al-H408be enragedיִ֥חַר אַ֖ףYi.char 'afH2734H639,my lordאֲדֹנִ֑י'a.do.NiH113,”Aaronאַהֲרֹ֔ן'a.ha.RonH175repliedוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559. “Youאַתָּה֙'a.TahH859yourself knowיָדַ֣עְתָּya.Da'.taH3045אֶת־'et-H853that the peopleהָעָ֔ם כִּ֥יha.'Am kiH5971H3588are intent on evilבְרָ֖ע הֽוּא׃ve.Ra' Hu'H7451H1931.
23They toldוַיֹּ֣אמְרוּvai.Yo.me.ruH559me, ‘Makeעֲשֵׂה־'a.seh-H6213usgodsאֱלֹהִ֔ים'E.lo.HimH430whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834will goיֵלְכ֖וּye.le.KhuH1980before usלְפָנֵ֑ינוּle.fa.Nei.nuH6440.As forכִּי־ki-H3588thisזֶ֣ה׀zehH2088Mosesמֹשֶׁ֣הmo.ShehH4872הָאִ֗ישׁha.'IshH376whoאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834brought us upהֶֽעֱלָ֙נוּ֙he.'e.La.nuH5927out of the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,we do notלֹ֥אlo'H3808knowיָדַ֖עְנוּya.Da'.nuH3045whatמֶה־meh-H4100has happenedהָ֥יָהHa.yahH1961to him!’
24So I saidוָאֹמַ֤רva.'o.MarH559to them, ‘Whoeverלְמִ֣יle.MiH4310has goldזָהָ֔בza.HavH2091,let him take it offהִתְפָּרָ֖קוּhit.pa.Ra.kuH6561,’and they gave itוַיִּתְּנוּ־vai.yi.te.nu-H5414to me.And when I threw itוָאַשְׁלִכֵ֣הוּva.'ash.li.Khe.huH7993into the fireבָאֵ֔שׁva.'EshH784,out cameוַיֵּצֵ֖אvai.ye.Tze'H3318thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088calfהָעֵ֥גֶלha.'E.gelH5695!”
25Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872אֶת־'et-H853sawוַיַּ֤רְאvai.Yar'H7200that the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971were out of controlכִּ֥י פָרֻ֖עַ ה֑וּאki fa.Ru.a' Hu'H6544H1931H3588,forכִּֽי־ki-H3588Aaronאַהֲרֹ֔ן'a.ha.RonH175had let them run wildפְרָעֹ֣הfe.ra.'OhH6544and become a laughingstockלְשִׁמְצָ֖הle.shim.TzahH8103to their enemiesבְּקָמֵיהֶֽם׃be.ka.mei.HemH6965.
