22and the Israelitesבְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֛לve.nei- Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478wentוַיָּבֹ֧אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935throughבְּת֥וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the seaהַיָּ֖םhai.YamH3220on dry groundבַּיַּבָּשָׁ֑הbai.ya.ba.ShahH3004,with wallsחֹמָ֔הcho.MahH2346of waterוְהַמַּ֤יִםve.ha.Ma.yimH4325on theirrightמִֽימִינָ֖םmi.mi.NamH3225and on their leftוּמִשְּׂמֹאלָֽם׃u.mi.se.mo.LamH8040.

23And the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֙יִם֙mitz.Ra.yimH4713chased after themוַיִּרְדְּפ֤וּvai.yir.de.FuH7291—allכֹּ֚לkolH3605Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547horsesס֣וּסsusH5483,chariotsרִכְבּ֖וֹrikh.BoH7393,and horsemenוּפָרָשָׁ֑יוu.fa.ra.ShavH6571—and followedוַיָּבֹ֣אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935themאַחֲרֵיהֶ֔ם'a.cha.rei.HemH310intoאֶל־ תּ֖וֹךְ'el- TokhH413 H8432the seaהַיָּֽם׃hai.YamH3220.

24At morningהַבֹּ֔קֶרha.Bo.kerH1242watchבְּאַשְׁמֹ֣רֶתbe.'ash.Mo.retH821,howeverוַֽיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961,the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068looked downוַיַּשְׁקֵ֤ףvai.yash.KefH8259onאֶל־'el-H413the armyמַחֲנֵ֣הma.cha.NehH4264of the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4713from the pillarבְּעַמּ֥וּדbe.'a.MudH5982of fireאֵ֖שׁ'eshH784and cloudוְעָנָ֑ןve.'a.NanH6051,and He threw their camp into confusionוַיָּ֕הָםvai.Ya.homH2000אֵ֖ת'etH853מַחֲנֵ֥הma.cha.NehH4264מִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4713.

25He caused their chariotמַרְכְּבֹתָ֔יוmar.ke.vo.TavH4818wheelsאֹפַ֣ן'o.FanH212to wobbleוַיָּ֗סַרvai.Ya.sarH5493,אֵ֚ת'etH853so that they had difficultyבִּכְבֵדֻ֑תbikh.ve.DutH3517drivingוַֽיְנַהֲגֵ֖הוּvay.na.ha.Ge.huH5090. “Let us fleeאָנ֙וּסָה֙'a.Nu.sahH5127fromמִפְּנֵ֣יmi.pe.NeiH6440the Israelitesיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,”saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֗יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714, “forכִּ֣יkiH3588the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068is fightingנִלְחָ֥םnil.ChamH3898for themagainst Egyptבְּמִצְרָֽיִם פbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714!”

26Then the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872, “Stretch outנְטֵ֥הne.TehH5186אֶת־'et-H853your handיָדְךָ֖ya.de.KhaH3027overעַל־'al-H5921the seaהַיָּ֑םhai.YamH3220,so that the watersהַמַּ֙יִם֙ha.Ma.yimH4325may flow backוְיָשֻׁ֤בוּve.ya.Shu.vuH7725overעַל־'al-H5921the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714andעַל־'al-H5921their chariotsרִכְבּ֖וֹ וְעַל־rikh.Bo ve.'al-H7393 H5921and horsemenפָּרָשָֽׁיו׃pa.ra.ShavH6571.”

27So Mosesמֹשֶׁ֨הmo.ShehH4872אֶת־'et-H853stretched outוַיֵּט֩vai.YetH5186his handיָד֜וֹya.DoH3027overעַל־'al-H5921the seaהַיָּ֗םhai.YamH3220,and at daybreakלִפְנ֥וֹת בֹּ֙קֶר֙lif.Not bo.kerH6437 H1242the seaהַיָּ֜םhai.YamH3220returnedוַיָּ֨שָׁבvai.Ya.shovH7725to its normal stateלְאֵ֣יתָנ֔וֹle.'Ei.ta.NoH386.As the Egyptiansוּמִצְרַ֖יִםu.mitz.Ra.yimH4714were retreatingנָסִ֣יםna.SimH5127לִקְרָאת֑וֹlik.ra.ToH7122,the LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068אֶת־'et-H853מִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714swept themוַיְנַעֵ֧רvay.na.'ErH5287intoבְּת֥וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the seaהַיָּֽם׃hai.YamH3220.

28The watersהַמַּ֗יִםha.Ma.yimH4325flowed backוַיָּשֻׁ֣בוּvai.ya.Shu.vuH7725and coveredוַיְכַסּ֤וּvay.kha.SuH3680אֶת־'et-H853the chariotsהָרֶ֙כֶב֙ha.Re.khevH7393וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853and horsemenהַפָּ֣רָשִׁ֔יםha.Pa.ra.ShimH6571—the entireלְכֹל֙le.KholH3605armyחֵ֣ילcheilH2428of Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547that had chasedהַבָּאִ֥יםha.ba.'ImH935the Israelitesאַחֲרֵיהֶ֖ם'a.cha.rei.HemH310into the seaבַּיָּ֑םbai.YamH3220.Notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808oneאֶחָֽד׃'e.ChadH259of themsurvivedנִשְׁאַ֥ר עַד־nish.'Ar 'ad-H7604 H5704.
